@bobson30147 ай бұрын
The thing is that while this movie is more mean spirited than the original, the comic it is based on is significantly more mean spirited than the first comic run which was already more mean spirited than the first movie, so this movie would have had a hard time being anything close to an adaptation of the story without being pretty mean spirited.

He took me to a concert to see some friends of his from school who had formed a band, and we’re getting pretty popular locally. We got to go backstage, and I met everybody. And they gave me a free cassette tape (look that up if you are young) they all signed. They were saying MTV was talking to them, and they were really excited. Saw the offspring in concert last summer as a 23 year old that only knew 2 songs and had a blast. Weird ass crowd tho, felt like a bunch of 40 year olds that were allowed to curse for the first time

It's weird that a band from the 90s has fans from the 90s?

Cuz when we were kids and Offspring was huge it felt like that. Offspring was that mainstream Rebellious-ness that 13 year olds were allowed to do, it's also Ska adjacent and we know how those fans are. So yeah those 40 year olds first cussings probably happened at and around Offspring.

I enjoy The Offspring, but someone commented that they sound like if Weird Al got into rock and now I can't unhear that similarity.

Listen to “Keep Em Separated” they sounded so different in the mid 90’s than they did in the early 2000’s

I know who The Offspring and Dexter are. No clue who Noodles is.
