My dear friend was a very rare man, he was a total master on many different skills, a total wordmaster, poet, mind reader, historian, a truth-teller, the total rocker who lead the greatest rocking of all time Thin Lizzy. Phill had at least 10,000 more brilliant songs to sing and 5 million stories to tell the people of this world. Phil Lynott was a music man through and through, from the top of his head to the tops of his toes, he was the man that grabbed your attention, he entered your mind and never left. Thanks a million, Phil for the man you were and all that you gave to others

He was. You were very lucky to have met him, because he died long before I was born. I’ve never heard anyone say anything bad about him on the two documentaries I’ve seen about his life story. His song, “got to give it up” breaks my heart. He knew he was suffering but he had a monkey on his back, walking wounded for a long time. He was the best entertainer I’ve ever seen. He did more in his 36 years of life than I can imagine to do in a lifetime. R.I.P. Philip Lynott

So sorry for your loss, Danny. I know your post is from 5 years ago, but I know the pain must still be fresh, as I also lost my best friend. It's been 31 years and I still think of him daily. He turned me on to Thin Lizzy when I was around 10, before anyone knew who they were. He passed away the same year as Phil. I feel Rob's spirit very strongly when I play Phil's music. I hope it does the same for you and lightens your heart. All the best to you Danny and, again, I'm very sorry for your loss.

I still think of you, ohh baby nobody loves you like I do, ohh baby I still think of you I still think of you. Hey baby, can you remember, When you were with me, whenever we danced. And baby, do you remember, When I held ya, in my arms. I had to leave you, but I’m coming home, And I will walk in, just as soon as I can. And baby, you know it grieves me, to leave ya, worrying like this. Because the sweetest thing, that I ever will see, Is a girl like you, loving a man like me. And the sweetest sound, that I ever heard, was a child like voice, soft [in birth?] Oh baby, I still think of you, ohh baby, (oh baby baby) nobody loves you like I do (oh sweet baby) I still think of you, I still think of you. We’ll be out there, all right, every night. And you took me, shook me up when you can. And baby, please believe me, I will be there, as soon as I can. ‘Cause I’ve been wanderin’ far, and I’ve been sinking low. But I’ll be comin’ home, just as soon as I can. And baby, please believe me, that I’ll write you, whenever I can. Because the sweetest thing, that I ever will see, Was a girl like you, lovin’ a man like me. And the sweetest sound, that I ever heard, was a child-like voice (child-like voice, child-like voice) soft [in birth?] And the sweetest thing, that I ever will see (I ever will see), was a girl like you (a girl like you), loving a man like me. Oh baby, (ohh sweet baby) I still think of you, Ohh baby (oh baby baby) Nobody baby, nobody loves you like I do, (Nobody loves you like I do) Ohh baby, sweet baby (sweet baby) I still think of you, (I still think of you) Nobody, nobody baby, misses you like I do, Ohh baby, sweet baby, I still think of you. No baby, nobody baby, nobody misses you like I do. Ohh baby, (oh no no no baby), I still think of you (I still think of you) Ohh baby.

Had the pleasure of shaking hands with Philip in Belfast ( Ireland) 1982....he came over to me backstage ( after noticing that l was bit star struck 24 yr old) "Are you all right there? "he asked me , with a big smile on his face ,...did you enjoy yourselves, were we OK for ya?"....gone but not forgotten ....young bands today can learn a lot from Philip Paris LYNOTT, a one of a kind never to be forgotten genius 🙄😘.....check him out on "The War Of The Worlds " by Jeff Wayne soundtrack...acting the Reverend Parish .GodBless
