You deserve an award. However, in my own case, the mapped network drive was fine but the folder redirection did not work. The path could not be found. My migration was from server 2008R2 to 2019. I wish to point out that I changed the 2019 server IP Add to that of the old server but had to reverse it before new user accounts started working perfectly but old accounts are still pointing to the location on the old server which I have shut down.

Thank you at 16:35 after imported the reg file and rebooted the server I still don't see the shares. I am coming from server 2016 to 2019. why I am not seeing the shares? at the registry lan server / shares. I see the shares. thank you

Why not to use Storage migration, which is available in server 2019?

Yes, you can use it without any problem now. At the time of recording I was not able to use storage migration successfully.

@@MSFTWebCast im having issues using SMS to migrate. getting error on file transfer and almost no documentation on why it we are getting it. claims firewall but all comms seem to look goood. done bashing my head. going back to robocopy!
