The problem with democracy is that sometimes the voters are wrong. They vote on the basis of how they 'feel' instead of facts, they vote on how events have affected them personally, instead of nationally. In point of fact, democracy is the right of the people to be dead wrong. Of course, sometimes being wrong turns out to be extremely painful for those same voters. If you think they'll then blame themselves, you're a fool. They'll simply turn around and vote for the next guy that promises them the moon and delivers dust. As Churchill said, democracy is the worst form of government ever conceived....except for all the others that have come before it.
