I would love to see more of this deck. It seems sweet. Maybe add Faerie Macabre or Tormod's Crypt to the sideboard for their cheap cost of removing graveyard stuff, since you mostly want to use your mana to cast your other spells.

ah, sunken city, i still have my sunken city aggro deck sleeved and ready in my collection. the deck was one of my first decks in general. i graded it up with that trident warrior and cloaker from ixalan. i like unblockable on those creatures for the ninja. but that new ninja there.....insert "it scares me" meme here man ephemerate is so broken

When I was thinking you couldn't get any better, boom new awesome list. You just made home for the bear, one of my favorite cards in mtg. Tried to run a aggro blue a long time ago just for him, now with sunken it looked waaay better. Keep the fun decks coming. Now let's find a home for Temporal Spring.

Vapor Snag is probably the right choice for this deck given its low cost and ability to deal non-combat damage and I'm a fan of Withdraw for the potential of a cheaper instant speed Undo. Perhaps some other considerations, depending on the meta, would be Snap because it lets you bounce a blocker while continuing to develop your board, and it is more likely to be comboed with Spellstutter Sprite, especially with Sunken City on the board. Also, Curfew can be a blue edict in an environment with a lot of boggles or all-in-on-one-creature strategies like heroic with protection from colours and Dimir reanimator featuring Striped Riverwinder.

Nice! I have noticed this card recently too. Another enchantment card at 2 cmc that I have seen lately and that is worth noting is Gaea's Touch. I have put 3 copies it in my ramp deck which relies on sakura-tribe scout, mulch, winding way, hooting mandrils etc.

Spell Slam on youtube has been playing a mono blue aggro list with sunken city for a few months now. Might be worth you looking into and comparing notes. His list also runs Unstable Mutation which wins bonus style points.

I built a similar idea casual deck with thought scour and the jace's illusion from m13 that becomes a 5/5 flyer. I think I had delver too. Basically a bad delver deck haha. I would recommend looking at the 4/1 from khans, Frost Walker.

The best card with sunken city is Homarid spawning bed, I’ve got a high tide -> deck that started with spawning bed and sunken city that has over the passing of time turned in to a legacy high tide - peregrine drake/slithermuse - spawning bed - opposition deck Those were the good old days

Hey Caleb, I've been rockin this deck in leagues. Any tips/tech for the Jeskai decks if any? Seems like a horrible matchup. Their 2/3s and 2/2s can stop our entire offense, and their late game beats ours. Plus, their threats are very diverse. Let me know, thanks.

I see you got 15th place in the pauper challenge as well! Nice job! and against jeskai I think your best bet is to abuse spellstutter sprite as much as possible. You are the aggro deck because their late game is so much stronger. Trade cards for tempo/damage and try to keep them from sticking a threat. This seems like a good spot for the 2x withdraw to come in since they frequently tap out and you can really get them by bouncing two blockers. Maybe bring in some blue blasts, since they probably have red blast and it counters skred/bolt. But I guess dispel is just better because it does all that and stops ephemerate.

Hey Caleb, please give us one more league with 4/5c spirits!!!! I'm finishing my list, and trying other options! I bought a full kamigawa pool pauper these days, for something like U$ 20,00.... Have been funny to test it!) I'm running Abundant growth instead of Astrolabe, because I haven't yet, but it's working well, too. Kinda budget, but running well. Am thinking Cloudfin Raptor over Slither, with 4 Bears/8 Ninjas becoming a 2/3 should be easy even though a nonbo with the ninja's I see it as more upside than Slither Blade. Too bad Frost Walker isn't common... Yet.

what are your thoughts on something like curfew instead of withdraw? it doesnt let you double bounce your enemies second creature, but similar to its primary effect of bouncing 1 of theirs and 1 of yours, ive been testing it out in my sunken city tempo since the legality announcement. happy to see this enchantment from the dark picking up some notice, i think its very good. curious why you arent at least trying the delver package here thoughts? would love to talk some shop.

I like curfew in the sideboard probably. Letting the opponent choose which creature to bounce is a lot worse in most matchups. And I think delver is just a bad card in this meta. Its so much work to get it to flip, and the 1/1 faeiries get value on etb so they're a lot better for the ninjas.

also I'm running very few spells because we want to maximize sunken city, so delver flipping is really unlikely.

Have you considered playing leagues? To me, the most interesting part is seeing how the brews compete against meta decks with good pilots, and the skill difference between practice rooms and leagues is huge.

pretty much exactly that. also our 1 drops are mostly for ninja activations anyway so we would have to flip delver twice for it to be any good.

u should've scooped in that match against Burn! u pointed out just before it happened that there is a bug about vanishing n that u were sposed to take 1 damage. then u get all excited when u r left at 1 life n ur opponent scoops. they scooped cuz u were sposed to be dead n they were salty about the bug. but u knew it was a bug n should've forfeited when u dropped to 1 life since u knew damn well u should've taken an extra damage. if u hadn't said anything before it happened I wouldn't be so mad but u knew u were exploiting a bug n yet u celebrated ur false victory.

yeah there is currently a bug on mtgo where none of the cards from the unification are showing up as legal (including stuff like desert and ashnod's altar). Not sure what's going on but I've had like 5 people submit complaints to mtgo so hopefully it will be fixed soon!

You should have conceeded at one life. You won due to a Moto bug and you knew it. Your opponent scooped because there were upset. You should have had enough respect for the game to scoop at one life.

@@CalebGannon People are talking about Astrolabe being banworthy as well, since its in 40% of the top meta decks. These were controversial discussions. Apparently calling for cards to be banned makes people whiners. I don't agree with that, but whatever. You can't please everyone! Also, I'm glad I ran across this deck and video! I built a very similar list that used a playset of Slitherblade, Counterspell, Brainstorm, and Ponder, and a couple Bonesplitters. Watching this made me really consider using Sunken City, the card is dope!

It means that every time we get a trigger from the ninja we say yes to draw a card and we don't want priority. Basically just shortcuts to speed up the game.
