All due respect sensei. I am from kickboxing, but your aikido I respect the most. And the reason is because you are not afraid to learn and become better and better.
Best martial channel in the interwebs. Your cross-training with other masters I awesome. Just like in the old times, the true spirit of a martial journey
I love these exchanges from dedicated martial artists. The exchange is just facinating.

Haha, as a Thai I have to say you are a great champion for sure, you are not only learned Muaythai from those Thai Champions but you also learned their humble+relax+open+funny like a kid from them too. Lol I don't understand too why it's like that but it's like a sign of Muaythai warrior and I have to say it's not about race or where you came from whatever you are asian, black or white or you are a very aggressive guy or you are really badass where you came from with no respect attitude but when they come and learn how to be a great Muaythai warriors and one day when they realize that their body transform to a real lethal weapon most of them would change their behaviors to this style relax+crazy, very humble and fun like a kid, it's really funny. Lol And as a 40 years old Thai, I have to say if you're trying to guess which Muaythai fighter is better sometimes you could analyze from their behaviors. Lol And I believe this man still have these relax and easy behaviors even in the ring. Great job! You are a real Muaythai warrior for sure.

Thank you. Yasuhiro Kido to show the strong point of Muay Thai Technique and show the people to know The insidiousness of Muay Thai
I trained Aikido in full discipline for 10 years and attended other martial arts trainings like wing tsun, taekwondo and Kick box. Tried to blend all beautiful techniques, filling their weak points getting their most effective techniques. I see here Muay Thai fighter kept his respect and did not attacked in full. Because Aikido guard is very open for him. You can not defend your face in low guard. It's clearly seen at 19:12 and 19:21 Thai fighter hesisated to complete the shot. He is very humble.

I'm a muay thai practitioner as well. clinching is harder to learn than striking because there are so many techniques though they are not obvious and the learning curve is very steep. men face additional challenges from clinching due to body odor from their training partner.

Outside of Thailand almost all tournaments have to limited the range of attacks of Thai fighters. No elbows, no clinching, no throwing, no headbutts they remove some of the strongest attacks. The clinching and throwing alone is often a problem for non Thai fighters because it is not focused on so much in other styles and they have weak defenses against it.
@mikenuzzo33232 жыл бұрын
That's what low kickboxing was they allowed the little kicks in the clinches and that's what changed kickboxing to more like movie Thai kickboxing. It wasn't till the Dodge came there on their ships that it became movie time boxing because they didn't have good defenses from the punches as much till the Dutch brought the European boxing. Can I ask what you really think of a keto and some of these Kung fu's because I love to think that kung fu is the Father the granddaddy of all Asian martial arts. And I don't know I think a keto was good for swordsmanship right the Kendo and the Hapkido

The light sparring showed how the aikido-ka used good distance control, and he kept his arms blocking the space where punches could come. The fighter is taller, so his leg length makes it harder for a shorter person to close distance without getting hit. The thai stance isn't great against low leg takedowns. If the aikido-ka could make an adjustment and incorporate low leg takedowns (like ones from wrestling or sumo) I think it would make it easier for him.

@@jbertucci In mma their stance doesn't do great against low takedowns. It's well known. They have to make an adjustment because their sport doesn't train against low grabs. Their knees could really ruin someone going low, but wrestlers who cross train learn how to close distance without getting hit.

@@moxygenpathogen7678 At first I thought so too. Then when I watched it again I realized that most of the time the aikido-ka did very well at guarding the strikes and kicks.

Muay Thai originated and was used on the battlefield like a Japanese martial art. But Thai warriors have no armor and less weapons than Japanese warriors. when losing a weapon in hand Everything in the body must be used to survive. This makes Muay Thai look more brutal.
My oppion, mr.Yasuhiro Kido is the the great one of Muay Thai in Japan
@kissofthecobra37612 жыл бұрын
One of the best means of advice, I have ever recieved from any martial art instructor is to have you're hands up in a preemptive measure to a grab are punch. Ideally you might play with your hair, look at you're watch but you never want you're hands down by you're waists when a bully is in you're face. The idea is that you can use you're hands for blocks, grappling etc, but If you do decide to put you're hands up in an aggressive manner it is a sure way to show that you really wanna fight.
