That is the coolest RC buggy I’ve ever seen so powerful!

interesting to see people using the max8 combo in a race car

The factory locations for notches on the rear hubs is actually notches towards the outside. Not a huge difference but something to know. Also, the stock 2.7mm rear swaybar is extremely thick which makes it really loose. Most of us are running the 2.4 or 2.5 rear bars

Hello, tx for this video. In his video, Drake used 10 10 7 in his diff, not 5 5 2 like the box setup. You use 5 5 2 in your car ? tx

What about diff bearings gearboxes gap.. after dirt entry the diff becomes gritty. Maybe silly putty to stop bearings dirt . Inner drive cups gap.

Dang I have the Max8 in my truggy. I may put one in my buggy now😊
@ronchang9791 Жыл бұрын
Do you happen to race the Max8 and do you have any comparisons in performance to the Xr8? I know there are far fewer settings, but I need a waterproof ESC for my buggy.
@MichaelWilliams-ei8cr Жыл бұрын
@@ronchang9791 yeah I've got 4 race days on it Tekno truggy. I honestly feel it has enough settings for me lol. 2050 motor and it's fast! My only problem is the fan setup is super easy for a small stone to stop it up. But that's most ESC I feel.
@ronchang9791 Жыл бұрын
@@MichaelWilliams-ei8cr I also have a Tekno truggy along with the buggy I'm building for the upcoming season. I've already killed 1 ESC from moisture in Seattle, so I appreciate the feedback!

Let's get a real racer next to build a kit no offense Ed, but a real track driver wouldn't install an ezrun system and a few other things...

What double-sided tape do you use for the ESC? Please provide the exact name!
@AMain_Hobbies_27 ай бұрын
Probably this stuff: www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-clear-double-sided-servo-tape-roll-1x40-ptk-2240/p510791 This tape has a little cushion to it, to absorb vibrations, it's just a pain to peal apart, but a hobby knife under the corner can help. Be sure to use rubbing alcohol or motor spray to clear both surfaces, like the chassis and esc. This tape is also equally as sticky, but with less cushion: www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-grey-high-tack-double-sided-tape-roll-1x40-ptk-2241/p769523 -Brett

Does esc xerun 10pro work in this buggy ? With 1/8 motor..
@Subawoo1233 ай бұрын
Definitely not, you need the higher Amps for the motor and servo that 1/8 rigs run. Not to mention the lipo’s as well, much different platform than 1/10. Hobbywing XR8 is the way to go.

Wheel nuts are unsprung weight? 😂 in my book they are not only sprung but also spinning weight the worst of the car weights 😅
@AMain_Hobbies_2 Жыл бұрын
Yes, it is adding to the rotational mass of the drivetrain, but it is not sprung weight. Sprung weight is anything supported by the suspension, where unsprung weight is not. -Brett

@@AMain_Hobbies_2 but according to this kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqaTXnaLdthjoMk video adding weight to wheels mmakes the wheels have less contact with the track how is that beneficcial?
