I went vegan in high school but I think it came with mutual respect from my parents. They would never not let me do something with my body because it’s my body, not their body. They respected my decisions and gave me the tools to be strong, decisive, independent, and educated in school and life. There’s a fine line between parenting and owning your children, I know now as a parent myself. I don’t think you’ll be able to change your parents parenting but educating yourself and relaying that to them, without attacking their diet, is a place to start.

Happy 1 year to my fav ladies! Beginning my vegan journey in July 2017, you guys have definitely been such a resource for me! Haven’t missed an episode! I believe I found Dani’s vegan pizza video where she tried popular chain pizza with her husband which led me to seeing when the vegan view came out! I then discovered all your personal channels and instagrams. But seriously keep going, I feel like we’re all hanging as friends while watching. I’m in that weird time where it’s like 2 years after college and all my besties are spread across the county. Vegetable: I would be celery. Long, lean and strong. I've been vegetarian since a teenager and vegan for two months. I don't miss meat, dairy, eggs or seafood. There are so many good things to eat without having animal products. When I do have a craving it's for a veggie burger, vegan pizza or a really good salad. Yep!! I actually crave salad. Lately, Nikki's salad with avocado, potato, dill and "honey mustard" dressing has been hitting the spot! Can't wait to try more recipes from each of you. The one thing I do miss are the workers from the restaurants I used to dine. Unfortunately I had to switch them out for the ones at the new vegan restaurants I go to. Congratulations to you all!
