I have used the Sling Studio for this kind of work. You have the iPad "switcher" software and with an, up to 4 camera view simultaneously with preview and program. You can also change out the preview monitor area with an audio monitoring view. All of the gear can be used battery powered. I do love and use some of the the Atem product line; but from a totally portable, battery operated, multi cam shoot, point of view, for the money, I'm not sure you can beat the Sling Studio.

I’ve done a lot of multi-cam in the past 30 years…from big rig/big crew to solo. For lean productions I have found that it is best to have cameras that are fully manual (focus hunting and iris bloom can wreck a show). And if I’m lacking camera ops, I shoot zone style, and have one live camera op (me). Redundant audio sources will save you too. And then I toss it all in Final Cut Pro and do a multi camera edit. Live switching streamlines post, but unless it is a live feed, I prefer the post-edit to make sure operator errors on the switcher aren’t a factor (I’ve seen wild camera moves, and had missed action even with the most experienced of crews). The biggest extra I might carry (other than lights) is a robotic slider like the One Man Crew with it’s parabolic track…set and forget so to speak. The new Wi-Fi to iPad recording systems are intriguing, but usually reliant on rock solid Wi-Fi, which isn’t always available…we do use one of those methods for focus group recordings when high production value is not essential.

I bought the Atem Mini Pro, and shortly thereafter the Extreme and then upgraded to the Extreme ISO. Other than my small wish that they'll soon support 4k, the Extreme ISO is indispensable. Multitrack video recording onto an SSD, and it'll create a Resolve file ready to edit. Absolute game changer

Maybe a bit too late, iPad App you need is Mix Effect, that is a wifi based atem controller, yes your atem needs to be connected to a network to provide an ip address for the app to connect and control. You can set up the multiview allowing you to monitor and switch your inputs directly from the iPad

You can download some apps to control the Atem mini remotely. I forget the names of the app but it could get you a work around until the companies figure what we need 😅

Good catch, although it appears to me that they all depend on the ATEM mini being connected the local network via the Ethernet port on the rear rather than wirelessly.

Use the iPad in sidecar mode (wireless secondary screen for MacBook) then use a wireless mouse?
