Ebonee Thompson Yeah that’s so common. I’ve had locks going on ten years and I literally twist like 4 times a year. Mostly I wash and dry it then leave it alone. My hair has only gotten thicker. I only believe in letting other ppl with locs twist it or doing it myself.

Just looking at the comments... It's offensive to assume a black person hair is nappy. When most of the time it's a tight curl. Black, Latina, Puerto Ricans women don't want their hair wet of they took the time to straighten it. Then it will get fuzzy and curly. Our hair isn't meant to be straight.

@megan6127
@megan6127 4 жыл бұрын
1:15 Different "white" people around the world have different textures and hair care routines. If a women with thin straight hair was to oil it up, it would not look moisturised, but very greasy! Since curly hair types (of all tightnesses or thicknesses) have a significant regiment to maintain its health, families pass down their knowledge and they are taught how to look after it properly. This is not the focus in all cultures or all families. I don't know why you judge what is different as if it were a comment on you. Women with dead straight hair should only be washing every 3-4 days or it will also dry out. If a woman with dead straight hair washes daily it will make the ends dry and encourage the scalp to naturally produce excess oil to compensate for it being stripped from the hair so regularly.
@volcrazy89
@volcrazy89 4 жыл бұрын
She honestly should just say "women without curly hair" when talking about women with straight hair. There are a ton of white women with curly hair like hers and there are tons of latin women (and men) that have naturally straight hair. Her attitude in this segment about hair shows how ignorant she is about not only other women's hair types and ethnicity, but her own ethnic background.
@samaraisnt

Hannah Marie idk about her but I don’t wash my hair every day I’m a white girl. I am a teenager that has oily skin so I used to wash it every day but it’s gotten better as I’ve gotten older so my hair isn’t as oily as I’ve gotten past puberty. But now I wash it once every 3-4 days I’ll go longer if I just style braids but I can’t have it down past that three day mark or else it gets stringy oily so I braid it to let the natural oils get throughout my hair. I think white people just produce more oils which is why white people I think break out more during puberty that sebum getting produced. I use conditioner every time I wash my hair to give it back that moisture at the bottom that the shampoo took. But yeah idk hope that helped (:

@@haleyokelley4303 it's not about whether your're white or not, it's about your hair type and skin type, e.g curly hair is naturally drier because it takes longer for the natural oils to travel down the curls whereas with straight hair the oil literally just has to travel straight down... and with skin, anyone can have an oily skin type, remember that these are biological HUMAN processes, period. My boyfriend doesn’t understand my hair can’t be treated like his and we’ve been together about 7yrs. Even down to the point that he thinks it would be easier to cut it short. He doesn’t understand that then I’d have to do it. Right now I’ve been lazy as I don’t know what and since I don’t have to wash my hair that often, it’s just been thrown up in a bun. If it was short I wouldn’t be able to do that.

I wish I didn't have to wash my hair every other day, but I can't go more than 2 days without washing my hair bc it gets SO greasy, smells, and looks terrible (white ppl hair). Some products can make a huge difference in hair care (like, how often u need to wash), but our hair is so thin, easily tangled, and gets oily 10x faster than other races. =( it's DNA
