I just want to say thank your for these SAO reaction videos. I discovered your channel through the NieR series and loved them. A week ago incidentally saw you started SAO and was really hooked again. SAO 1 is my first and most favorite anime and watching yours brings back so much nostalgia :) Looking for your next videos so much. Oh btw I kinda wanted to see more on the Kirito - Asuna relationship in this episode. It was one of the main interesting points of this anime imo.

Honestly though, once you finish the 1st season, I'd strongly suggest you watch SAOA (Sword Art Online Abridged) I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd say the Abridged is actually better than the original!! :D

I think Part of Kiritos reasoning in Episode 3 was he wanted to help the group. Show thta hes a team player when he wants to be and yet yes he did mess up. He is at a higher level yet he knows thr risks and moreso then some of the other players, especially ones taking it for granted .. he knows the he is in the same boat as everyone else in that game

Stabbing yourself in the city wouldn't do anything or shouldn't. He was going to test if it could wound him inside the city. Asuna didn't want him to because she was scared of what added things the blade might be capable of since they still have no clues as to how it happened.

"I didn't realize he was _that strong_ already." The thing is, he's not actually _that_ much stronger than the other Front Liners. It's something a lot of people miss when they complain how OP Kirito is, there's a whole group of people roughly in the same league as him. It's just the Titan's Hand was a group of mid-level scrubs used to preying on low-level players. Any of the Front Liners could have handled them just as easily, though not many could have flexed on them the same way since most didn't go for the Battle Regeneration skill since you need to be brought into the red repeatedly to learn it, and that's a big risk with your life on the line. "Why would you stab yourself in the hand?" He wanted to test if it could hurt a player in a safe zone or if it had a special property to bypass the safe zone protections. Presumably a stab to the hand wouldn't have done enough damage to _kill_ him, so he could just heal it off after confirming the presence or lack of such a property.
