You have no idea about proper form if you cant understand how these guys are actually doing proper form.Full range of motion is a claim that people who don't have years or rather decades of experience in how to target certain muscles spew out their mouths.Just for an example for me when I do my chinups I can target more my arms or my rear delts by how much or little of the full range I do.Muscle mind connection where they stretch out the muscle but only to the point where its still the main muscle they are targetting and then contract the muscle they are trying to target.

When he mentions “that connection” he simply means body and mind connection for every rep and set. For example every curl for a bicep curl with dumbbells you make sure your mind and muscles are connected on each curl no matter what. That’s how you get bigger faster and correctly. You will love this once you get it because it’s ultimately natural but you first need to realize if you’re lifting to heavy and lower weight but just continue to work properly: correctly. Enjoy.

@thewatcher4552 Жыл бұрын
I like this channel because he explains every exercise and how to execute it
@dozermendoza4 жыл бұрын
First: Victor does mostly Volume Pump Training like most bodybuilders. As opposed to Dorian Yates type styles. They do change this up throughout the year. Volume based pump style training: Many people use faster reps in the beginning to illicit the burn and pump(an anabolic state due to functions of lactic acidosis and other mechanisms), and after the intense burn is achieved, they hit a couple more reps that actually count, and then maybe 3 or so cheat reps. They don't go to failure every set. They also adjust their range of motion by feel. Insertion points and genetics will determine variations between one bodybuilder's optimal range of motion, and anothers. @1:08 placing arms overhead puts Long head in stretched position. When you see him doing the original overhead tricep extension you may be wondering "why isn't he going into full extension?" Look at his angle. He knows any higher and more extension, he will lose tension because the weight is being supported through the arm. He could lean to the side to get more tension through a greater range of motion. Can you guess why he didn't? If you can't answer that right now, you have no clue on what is needed to build muscle optimally. The answer is: he knows that a muscle in a stretched position under load can elicit greater growth for reasons I won't get into(if you don't know those reasons, again, you obviously aren't as educated as you think with regards to methods and techniques to stimulate more Hypertrophy). He is contracting through this stretched position for a reason, and terminating his range of motion before he leaves the stretched position. Most likely because he knows he will be doing another exercise that focuses more extension. And what do you know @3:09 he does just that... full extension with long head emphasis due to angle of humerus relative to centerline, that being "elbow joint" more overhead instead of by his side. Now sloppy form: Again, he is doing volume training, and their is less emphasis on the negative portion as seen. Throughout the year and on other training days, they do incorporate more emphasis on negative portion. However, that is not a majority of their training style. Try this simple thing, and it will shut many of you up and make you realize what he is doing. Do 2 warmup sets of EZ bar curls to get some blood in there. Now, get a weight you can get around 12 reps with, and maybe 2 or 3 in the tank. Now do a set with ultra strict form, full extension at bottom(since you want to cry about range of motion), and lift with peak contraction. Just textbook form. Notice the feel at the end of the set. Done! NOW, add a small amount of weight. Why, because you will be able to lift more and get more reps because we are not going to put to much emphasis on the negative. Now do a set like Victor. Don't go into full extension at bottom(allows rest and removes tension if you fully extend). Squeeze momentarily at the top. Lower weight. Now, it may look like they are just dropping the weight, but they aren't, they are resisting it slightly. So some resistance to the negative portion, just not as much as with your SUPER TEXT BOOK SET. Knock out reps but leave 2 or 3 in the tank again. ....... I know for a fucking fact, you will feel a better pump with the sloppy form set. It's science. The tempo, which is faster, is creating more OCCLUSION in the muscle from more focus on contraction, more time spent in contraction. Less blood is allowed to leave the muscle. I can go all day. I can even disapprove people that bash Branch Warren's sloppy, but heavy, style. This is what you need to know. Even if a bodybuilder doesn't know the "why" or the science, they gravitate to the thing that allows them to FEEL what works with mind muscle connection. At least in this video he is showing you how he trains and not lying by showing himself doing textbook form. You are not in his head and body. You do not know at what ranges, what weight, what tempo that allows him to get the best feel. I will add for the guys talking about roids: congratulations Captain Obvious. That isn't next level knowledge. There are tons of guys on roids that look like shit. They aren't fucking magic. You won't be jacked by just using steroids. You won't have slabs of muscle, mature muscle, on your frame with even 3 cycles or blasts. It takes years to look like these guys. Hell, go look at their competition history and see how they have grown over years to this point. Some people are freaks, but they are not the majority. Look at Boston Loyd. Dude was running insane dosages and looked like shit for years. He has figured it out now however. You don't need them to have a great body. You will need them to compete with these guys. The real builder is Insulin usage. Many need insulin anyway because using high doses of Growth Hormone affects insulin sensitivity. It is good to mention the usage so that those who think they will look like this natural, can have realistic expectations. I work in a prison. I have been doing it for years, in a State Prison. I have never found steroids, and no one has snitched on steroids. We have found every other drug except steroids. They don't make sense for the economy in the prison. Now some other prisons, mostly private, will have more types of drugs, due to more relaxed standards. There are some inmates jacked beyond belief. If they started a youtube, people would claim they were on steroids. You know what they have that is better than steroids? Consistency. Same shit everyday. Most inmates lose their gains when they leave prison due to change in lifestyle and schedule. My point is, you can have a very good physique without steroids.

From what I saw of you, you look amazing! Personally from watching BB since the late 60's and practicing BB since then to build and stay in shape, I wonder how much more great and massive you could be if you practiced a more strict form on your movements? I've seen so many big and great BB get sloppy and cheat on their movements. I realize when it's too much weight or fatigue sets in it will happen. I still think your best days are ahead of you! Mature muscle will come and you will be unstoppable! God Bless.
