Have you ever wondered what bodybuilders looked like before steroids were invented? You might be surprised to see the physiques that they sported. They were clearly nothing like the monsters that you see today.
Does that mean that they were not lean or didn’t look good? Of course not! As a matter of fact, these physiques are what many can achieve as long as they stay natural. So don’t be discouraged by those that are clearly using PEDs, instead, look to build your best body naturally as these bodybuilders did.

@@haze4622 It's true. I grew up on a farm, and then crosstrained for baseball using power lifting from a teenager into my twenties. Played in college. Now I'm in my forties. Haven't done any serious training in almost two decades. I'm still shredded as fuck. I do literally nothing to maintain it. It's truly not fair. People work their ass off for 1/10th of the results I get from just sitting as much as possible. I'm honestly lazy as shit, and eat whatever I want. I have no business owning this much muscle definition. I have no explanation for it other than how I grew up. My "snacks" as a kid were just fresh vegetables, plucked off a vine. We had a small orchard for fruit too. Mom said it was worse than having a rabbit in the garden because she couldn't remove the "pest" that was stealing all her harvest. Plus, I was just running through the forest, and climbing trees all day, every day. Building forts in the woods. Just extremely active. It wasn't even possible to get cable TV where we lived. Thirty miles from the closest McDonalds. All the shit that has fucked everyone else up just never touched me as a kid. Thanks mom n dad. Thanks for the genetics too, I guess.

Ghosh had a penchant for motorcycles and loved to flaunt his 1000 cc motorcycle on the streets of Calcutta at a time when such a hobby was rare among Indians. In fact one of the bodybuilders from this era had in their plan that they would hit chest by moving dumbells in like basically the same motion that would be done on a machine press. The problem with that being that's a front delt exercise not a chest exercise.

True , however the food they had was significantly more organic and significantly higher nutritional value than foods today , they also didn’t need to follow a diet as strictly because their everyday eating habits were likely todays definition of healthy eating or dieting , men back then also had significantly higher testosterone levels as todays men . However that doesn’t take away from their hard work and dedication . All I’m saying is give us the natural test levels they had , with food as organic as theirs , with the knowledge and level of hard training we have today , that would be revolutionary

Highly unlikely that they had access to better food. Most of them were most likely on high-carb-diets for most of their lives, as was the norm those days. @@jamesb.russell2942 start informing yourself about health risks, and don't believe the conspiracy theory tinfoil hats. Most of the things you mentioned have no noticeable effect on health outcomes in the doses we find in foods today. GMOs are even "healthier" than normal crops. About the "poisoning": back then, food quality overall was terrible worldwide, millions of people died because of natural food poisoning, most children were malnourished, healthcare was inaccessible to most. The simple truth is, food quality today is better than ever before. Food availability is better than ever before. Food diversity is better than ever before. There’s a saying that goes like this: you can be shredded, big, or natural; although you can only pick two. You can definitely be decently big and shredded as a natural but you won’t hold as much muscle compared to if you’re bf% was higher, generally speaking. Steroids (especially trenbolone) are very effective in maintaining muscle while you’re in a caloric deficit, which is why insane looking physiques, like Chris Bumstead’s, are common place today. Those earlier bodybuilders have extremely impressive physiques, although their conditioning and camera angles makes them look like they’re taking steroids when they’re not. If you actually pay attention to their muscle to height ratio, most of them probably wouldn’t surpass an ffmi of 25, which is generally considered the limit for most naturals.
