This album will go down as an album that will age better with time. People forget that Matt made this album to be a best of muse sound so the songs are meant to hit different sort of muse fans . You hear different styles of muse throughout the album not just a single type of theme. Every song serves its purpose. Ghost personally he hit me the most because I can relate with it whereas a lot of people love won’t stand down and so on and so on. People will have to grow to every song because every song serves a different era of muse

Yes this is what i always thought. Every album is different, initial reaction will be a little off , because the previous album sound different , but as u keep on listening it will grow on. The same will happen again if & when Muse make another album. I am a huge Muse fan , since their 1st album , i dont mind the changes , its good , and lastly their live performance is so awesome.

I friggin love this one the most! Totally surprised me, I wasn't expecting this gem amongst all the heavier tracks. Its so beautiful and Matts voice sounds awesome!! I cant stop listening to Verona ❤️❤️❤️

I think it's really a song about covid restrictions. "they can't stop us now", "contagion on our lips", "forbidden bliss", "I won't let you die alone". So much people are dead alone because of those restrictions.

Nope, COVID has killed many people and made millions of others temporarily, but seriously ill. This song is about 2 lovers who were separated from COVID and are more than ready to return to each other, even if that means they cause each others' deaths, at least they die together.

For me, it's clearly inspired by Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare, for which the story is set in Verona. Forbidden bliss, can't stop us now, poison on our lips, won't let you die alone. It's all there.

As Muse have said that this current album is more of a best of, in a sense that they wanted to make the best version of songs they've done in the past as opposed to a traditional best of album. I believe this maybe their best of version of 'Resistance' based upon the lyrical subject. That's my perception of it at least. Regardless its one of my favourites of the album.

The song is about the man's partner who is dying is hospital and the Gov/hospital is stopping him from seeing her in the last few hrs of her life because of covid... BUT he enters the room and stays with her anyway. All the words fit and it's a very sad but beautiful song.

Was Excited by "won't Stand Down " And "Kill Or Be Killed " After purchasing the Album and listening to it 3-4 times ... Got to say Bitterly under whelmed .... Muse gave Us a taste of how Heavy they can get and then sinks into some drab effortless stuff ... I have been with Muse since the start but NOW it seems they are running out of Ideas .... Real Shame

I understand why some people might be disappointed by some of Muse’s studio album material, but like many albums, you’re only going to get the true output of the band…this is MUSE - it’s who they are now. If you like some of the songs, that’s brilliant. I like some better than others. Music chooses YOU so if if touches you deep down, it’s a win, if not, it’ll touch someone else. Don’t be downhearted though, just give the album a chance. Don’t skip the songs you don’t instantly like, just listen to the drums, the guitar…focus on the lyrics and see what you can find in there. I’ve done this time and time again until I have gotten to know (and like) the song and eventually you understand why it is part of the album. Don’t ‘move on’, but enjoy the bits you like, add ‘em to your playlists and if you really want, skip the ones you don’t like. Don’t listen to anyone but yourself….and me!!! 🤩

See I loved won't stand down but will of the people, euphoria, you make me feel like it's Halloween, ghosts, verona are all epic too. You don't want an album that's all the same and there's some great variety here. A lot of simulation theory was thematic. This is a lot more freeform. Seems to have been divisive but idk. I liked it 🤣
