Hi, congratulations and my regards for this wonderful video. The idea of growing mushrooms in plastic bottles is very innovative and unique. I wish to visit the farm where mushrooms are cultivated with this method. Please share the address

To name a few, mushrooms love coffee grounds, hard woods or wood chips/sawdust from hard woods. Never use pressure treated wood. It contains arsenic.

This demonstration is great but if it was in English everyone could understand. Casn we get this audio translated in English. What seeds are used ? Is it Birdseed or Wheat Paddy seed?
@ralbiruni6 жыл бұрын

Very interesting. Do these mushrooms need a lot of light? E.g.can I grow them in a cellar (where it is dark almost all the time)? And for how long I shall keep the straw for substrate in water and what water temperature?

@m00njaguar10 жыл бұрын
Jane Castillo Mushrooms are a type of fungus and dont produce seeds- they produce spores, which become mycelium, a fuzzy root-like material. This then produces the mushroom we eat, its reproductive organ. You can buy kits to grow mushrooms at small-scale or get serious and produce at a larger scale- commercial production of gourmet mushrooms is possible.
@m00njaguar10 жыл бұрын
Jane Castillo The white material you saw in the video is mycelium, the "roots" of mushrooms. This is a website where you can buy kits for growing small amounts of mushrooms, both inside and in garden.There are many other places, but this is one good example- www.fungi.com/shop/mushroom-kits.html

i can't understand the language. Can anyone tell me, whether this process adopts any chemicals/ fertilizers? Because we promote organic farming,we can't adopt this process if it involves chemicals. Secondly, can we grow button mushrooms in them?
@cajiodasj17528 жыл бұрын
They did not use any filterers or chemicals since it's not needed. Just make sure the continent of the plastic bottles are kept at all times moist. And make sure you have a dark place to put them, like what they did after they filled the bottles.
@shiitakehappens29697 жыл бұрын
Catcalia Mc Don't comment if you are giving fake news. Go read on light effects on mycelium. You are still pushing a 20 year old outdated technique of Paul Stammet.
@cajiodasj17527 жыл бұрын
Well then excuse me for my ignorance. I just happen to accidentally click on this video and hoped to help someone while being uneducated myself, for that please forgive me Naresh. However Shiitake I am confused at the fake news part, what does that have to do with anything? He asked if they used any chemicals or fertilizers in THIS process. All they(the people in this video) did was clean the straw and put it is a bottle with seeds and then in a dark place. I doubt that the straw would be dry since mushrooms are a type of fungi, they need some type of moist to grow. Hope you have a good day further.
@shiitakehappens29697 жыл бұрын
Catcalia Mc Your comment on putting mycelium in a dark place is old technology. Mycelium grows faster and gets on a circadian rhythm if it has light from day one. Like I said in my comment, go read on light effects on mycelium.
@cajiodasj17527 жыл бұрын
Oh you meant it like that, my bad. But then again I'm only typing what I saw in this video, but if I ever going to grow my own mushrooms that I'll (of course) will do better research on mycelium and the type of mushroom that I want to grow. So thanks for letting me know?
