Tawl Ross! playing rhythm guitar on the first 3 iconic Funkadelic albums: The self-titled debut, Free Your Mind, and Maggot Brain. I think they improved each album, but the first one is still incredible to hear today because while nothing sounds like it today, I can't imagine people listening to it in 1970. A strange concoction of soul, a bit of blues, a dash of doo wop and the nascent funk coming from JB and Sly with some Hendrix on top. And Shel Tamy - My Generation, the song and the album by the Who, The Creations "Making Time" (look it up if you don't know it), and just about everything the Kinks did until 1967 or so, including a handful of incredible singles and the fantastic albums "Face to Face" and "The Kink Kontroversy."

Back for the corrected (Phil Lesh) version

Wonder how many corrected versions there will be? December hasn't ended yet so a couple of weeks to add to just the two. Too many are around my age to install a little dread in my head.

Hat Tip for the inclusion of Phil Lesh. Not your cuppa, I know, but a musical icon here across the rising tide.
