Most of these people were either singers or rappers. Not musicians! Musicians PLAY musical instruments. Singers aren't musicians! They work with them. Rappers aren't musicians! They make up rhymes. Stop referring to everyone as "musicians" ... It's an all too common mistake that needs to be corrected!

Granted Yolanda Saldívar was a ‘fan’ but she was a lot more than that. Selena trusted her. She became the Manager of the Fan Club. But also the Manager of Selena’s Boutiques. Soon to be Selena’s Resident Agent. I can’t call her a ‘fan’, but an obsessed employee that got caught embezzling over 30,000. She should have turned herself in, instead of taking the life of Selena. I loved her voice, and her music was and is breathtaking. It is a shame that someone can be so heartless. Kurt Cobain was just amazing. I loved all his music. There were too many to fit in all of them. I think these lists just pick & choose as current "demographics" want to fit at least one of each music style, musician's race/ethnicity, gender, different causes of death--it's not always drugs & drink, for example. I'm 43, but you young ones are blessed w finding info real quick from birth! You will probably discover 500+ musicians from the States alone! I'm American, but in my humble opinion, our music, even old blues & jazz from turn of 20th century inspired the British invasion & those singers/musicians, from 1900s chain gang songs to the Most Awesome bands, from England/Wales, Ireland, are ALL RELATED AS ONE Supernova of God's Choir!❤😁💪🎼🎹🎸K.

But Kurt did have major probs... chronic stomach pain, social anxiety, low self esteem, depression, addiction....and IV heroin use is a hard thing to deal with and not be miserable as hell, trust me I KNOW.... Hello There to be fair, they are probably more likely to die on a plane than most people. If you flew all the time you’d be more likely to die that way too.

Kurt Cobain came out of nowhere and obliterated the rock genre. Nirvana redefined how rock music was meant to sound. Even tho he died before I was born, I can’t help but feel sad that I wasn’t a part of the grunge movement that flipped the music world upside down

I think we can all forget XXXfeloncion and be thankful he's gone. Beating up, threatening to kill, and imprisoning pregnant women really isn't cool despite the "street cred" obtained from such acts of violence against a fellow human being.

Where is Layne Staley? AIC were huge when he went into reclusion.
@xxka0tikkxx5 жыл бұрын
Idk if that technically fits. AiC had been popular for sure, but they last met up really was the unplugged show in 97(?) But Layne didnt pass away until 2002. This was more so right when or shortly after they were at height of fame.

Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident after being with Berry Oakley. Berry Oakley would die the same way a year later in the same area as Duane ( 3 blocks away) . Ronnie wrote the song "Freebird " to honor and remember Duane Allman, whom Ronnie's wife used to date. Then Ronnie would die and that song would be played to remember him and the other members that died. Just had to add this because it's strange how they are all connected to each other somewhat.

@davidclothier62714 жыл бұрын
Why wasn't Michael hutchence from inxs mentioned?
@BeeBumper5 жыл бұрын
Amy was an amazing insight into Winehouse's life and death. Have we really let Courtney off the hook, there is some sketchy shit there. If you consider the sheer amount of travel musicians do by plane every year, the few we've lost are a fraction and all these comments saying planes are deathtraps for musicians is just not correct. Car crashes would be way more likely, the percentage of plane deaths per combined flights would be a fraction of 1%

@Christopher Bingham Although, strangely, they had a resurgence of popularity two months later. But, good point.
@joeymorvant1615 жыл бұрын
@Christopher Bingham Of course. When an artist dies, their back catalog spikes. My mom lots of times buys recently deceased artists' CDs even if I've never heard her listen to their music, lol. However, I was referring to "Bohemian Rhapsody"'s inclusion in "Wayne's World" and said movie's soundtrack. It was the lead single\video, and, as such, re-entered the charts, was played on the radio, et al. However, I don't know if it's association with "WW" had to do with Freddie's death, or not. The movie could have been in production when Freddie was still with us.

That is one thing that does not come by age or creed or colour and that is death. It does matter your career, your status, your qualification or even you religion . It does matter if you are an atheist or a fool or wise, rich or poor, you going one day, therefore, as soon as you have enough sense to know that your soul is important, you make sure that you give the Lord God HIS PRAISE AND WORSHIP and make right before you die. Even if you are what they called a "STAR" you are no exception.
