I had a similar strike last week in Tomahawk I was dangling a medusa off the side of the boat and had a bass hit it head on but didn’t bring it in. It was cool to witness.

I have a bulldawg I've melted back together and repaired so many times it looks like it should be in a horror movie. But I caught my biggest muskie ever on it 50 1/2 and I just keep scabbing it back together lmao. Great video.

Years ago I was up at the Duluth ship canal and a railroad ferry came into port that was named the Incan Superior. My boat, at the time, was like Nathan's here. I immediately named it the Tincan Inferior.

Run those figure 8s deeper with 2 hands on the rod for following fish. Those baits were barely beneath the surface.
@AnglingAnarchy2 жыл бұрын
scott112able I appreciate that, but there is a method to the madness. In the name of filming there are times when I'll just use hand on the figure 8 so it doesn't block the camera. I realize I'm putting myself in a potentially awkward position, but it's a sacrifice I'm sometimes willing to make to get the shot. And the baits high in the water was for 2 reasons, again for filming the camera picks up the fish a little better so viewers have a better chance of seeing it, and in some of those spots the weededge was right below us and I was snagging them when I went deeper. Hope that explains it.

@Angling Anarchy: For some odd reason my old computer will not now let me reply to comments. I can comment but not reply, so this is my reply, to your reply, to my original comment. Am happy you got a chuckle out of my old boats name. I still have that boat sitting out in the yard being overgrown by brush and trees. My current boat is named the, S.S. Hugmuffin. I have that on both sides of the bow in custom matching graphics. It's named for my late wife. I told her, before she died, that I was going to do that with our, at the time, new boat so she could always go fishing with me. She cried. Now it sits in the garage and I'm not fishing. So goes life, I guess.

There is NEVER a fish caught on a "last cast". If you catch one you have to at least take a couple more before you go home.
