In the beggining I started to learn by these reasons 😂, but Korean is a such pretty language, even the grammar being almost impossible, It's so incredible to learn it. And best part is that you can learn a new language while you're having fun, watching dramas, or seeing kpop idol's lives.

@@diariodalaroca Yeah, I think Koop is a reason for me being motivated to learn it, but honestly I love the way Hangul looks and I was always very intrigued by the concept of writing in symbols even before I was into Korean music and dramas. I think it’s sounds very nice too, and honestly I would feel so cool knowing that I could speak a foreign language.

Tip for Lingodeer (at least as of now): In each course you can change the settings for whether romanization is shown by clicking on "me" in the lower right then settings > script style. These are specific to the course you're currently on so Korean 1 has its own setting and Fluent Korean has another. This makes those conversations easier to read in 한글 only.

I have Teuida and love this app. I really like that they have conversations in a real setting as if you are a part of the conversation. I also like how they integrated speaking feedback. I also use HelloTalk- this app was great for meeting other learners and native speakers. I met my fantastic language exchange partner here. The moments allowed me to “get to know” people before starting to have conversations right away. Tandem was a bit confusing to me. Idkw. Lingodeer seems very cool and helpful. I like the conversations section you showed - I think this will be helpful for increasing listening, speaking and pronunciation accuracy.

as a beginner i highly recommend these apps, no subscriptions needed or money spending: 1. write korean amazing for learning the hangul and writing it 2. teuida I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS, it’s so good for learning prononciation and some vocabs, good info to take notes on 3. duolingo HEAR ME OUT, it’s not a totally recommend apps but it’s good for memorizing the hangul and learning to recognize it when reading, it’s also good for forming syllable blocks 4. not an app but PLS look up some vocabulary words on youtube, some videos titled “100 korean vocabulary words” or something like that will pop up it’s very helpful bc those words can be used in phrases as well as the “i, you, he/she/it” pronouns in korean again, none of these require money unless you pay for a subscription or something

first off, think of why you started. it'll reorient you on why you gotta learn the language in the first place. second, find a way that's fun, like doing a script or impressions, doing a POV, fooling around with a friend, making sticky notes and pasting them on things to remember what they're called. or just fool around with a translate app, take a pic of a text and translate it. or buy a book in Korean (could be a childrens book even) and try you hardest to read it.
