Mustang V6 Dual Exhaust Shorty Headers

A friend and I replaced the stock manifolds (which had a crack) with BBK Shorty Headers from American Muscle. It got rid of the annoying ticking sound caused from the crack. It also gave it a little more aggressive tone!

unfortunately, guys, this video is not a contest of how great or not this mustang is. that kind of talk makes the mustang community look bad. I mod my mustang for personal taste and enjoyment as I am able to. Mustang owners should respect others. I had a 4 cyl fox that was in no way at all fast. It was my first car that my parents bought me and I grew to love it! I saved up my money and bought pony wheels on Craigslist and painted them to look like new all by myself! I was so proud of it! It was no Cobra or GT but it was a mustang that taught me to love the name and brand of the iconic car! That's what Mustang is about. I will delete or flag any comments that are inappropriate according to what I just said! Thanks and lets put a good name out there for the Mustang Community!

Lol I had to get it straight piped to sound good after switching from single y pipe to a dual exhaust straight piped set up.

really clean sound. don't let anyone get you down man. i sold my 04 GT for my 04 v6 and i wont go back. just depends what you want out of your car. I autocross my car alot and that lighter front end is wonderful especially when you build up the suspension. plus since it isn't tail happy due to not having as much power it stays planted. i could only ever want a v8 again if i got back into racing straight lines.

I have the infamous header tick on my 03, I have NO clue once so ever on what exhaust setup it has. It looks like shorty headers, catted mid pipe, and it has two flowmasters sticking out the back, it has a rumble more than most v6, but doesn't sound like one at idle or low rpms like most do that are more loud.

Did the shorty headers have any noticeable power gains? Also does the exhaust pop more after they are installed? I have a dual exhaust straight pipes (after the cats) with an H-pipe and it pops some on deceleration but I want it to pop more.. like yours seemed to when you revved it

Cuz I had no money in college and it was a gift from my parents! These upgrades were Christmas gifts hahaha. My time owning a 4cyl foxbody and v6 new edge have made me appreciate all mustangs and feel more impressed with my current ‘12 5.0. Gotta go through the ranks

Thanks! I got that fixed a few months ago. Just needed some extra solder where the exhaust tip was connected to the pipe!

nice car though, i own a 2000 v6 with a 5spd, it's moddest, good first car, but i would have loved it better if it was a gt or cobra lol, and my exhaust isn't any better than yours lol, crap welds done by me, just welded up a flowmaster super 44 to the factory pipes, sounds nice, but a cam and k&n cai with long tubes, O/R h pipe and flowmaster american thunder series axle backs would be awesome lol

Cool cool, well once you do start driving it be cautious and don't drive to fast through any low spots on the road as this car does bottom out very easy. It handles like ass, the shifter feels like a stick in sand, and the clutch pedal is really heavy.
