If you declare to the TV tax people that you're not using a TV, or you aren't using one for receiving live broadcasts or using a PC to watch live stuff on Iplayer, you don't have to pay the TV tax... :)

Can't tell you how many different times I used stuff lying around to repair those pans! I've used wood scrap, old stop signs, cut washer or fridge metal, etc. And of course, used bungee cords for a batt hold down!!! Then I'd shove an old rubber floormat up under the back seat to stop the batt from shorting out on the seat springs. That's important; after your first backseat fire, you learn!! Boss, you are the MAN with these old Bugs!!

Thanks for spending more time on the blue bug, I had a green 70 VS Beetle when I was 17. Your presentation brings back fond memories of me learning about my first car. The battery pan replacement made me smile. Thanks again.

Excellent video Mustie1, There are a lot of us folks who would pay a premium to have you wrench on their VW's...when I finally find my beetle I am confidant that you will have provided me a video tutorial on how to address the certain issues that will come with my 60 year old, air cooled, German cream puff. Thank You

My first new car was a 1966 VW 1600 when I was 19 years old. It was a great car. I didn't put the battery cover back on the battery box to cover the battery posts on the battery. When I loaded the back seat full of kids, the metal springs on the seat came in contact with the battery terminals that caused a short and fire that destroyed the car. I sure have enjoyed watching you do some of the things I did over 40 years ago. I rebuilt the engine once in the front yard. If I lived next door to you, I would probably get in your way. Once a motor head, always a motorhead. Thanks!

Those plasma cutters make quick accurate cuts. About ten years ago I had a job laying down about 400 linear feet of 4"" brushed stainless base in an office building. Other than a little discoloration which was easily taken care of with a scotchbright pad, it was much quicker than a portaban. Nice work as usual Muzz.

VW made the best snow sled. Better than Jeep. That flat belly is great. Love Bugs great cars. My 66 1300 and 73 super beetle were my favorites. Had many of them. I sold them after I got them, little repairs. Not very hard to work on. The more options the more trouble. If you want luxury Don't get a bug. Great cars for road trips. You lay them seats down and sleep if needed. Lots a move and very cozy. Moonroof makes it even better. Brake issues really sucked. A good floor is a major concern.
