Loved it!!! My favorite version of the Turtles is also the 2003 animated series. I also love the 2012 series and the IDW comics. I loved this movie. This was maybe my favorite Splinter. Animation was amazing and that interrogation fight scene was incredible. This was the most like a family the Turtles have ever felt. 10/10 🔥

3:55 Did you watch the 1990 version? The central theme of that movie was fatherhood and brotherhood. A mojor plot point of that movie is the turtles' bond becoming stronger after their father gets kidnapped. Family was a big part of that movies. The father/son theme even extended to the characters of Charles and Danny Pennington.

I mean anyone can have a different opinion, I think I’m terms of actual film quality this is the best film. The two things they nailed were the art style and the turtles, all their personalities were great and they really felt like a group of brothers. Saw the movie today and really liked it, the sequel should be even better.

The 2003 show is my favorite cartoon of all time (yes above avatar and clone wars ) and I own all the IDW comics which is my second favorite turtles interpretation. I’m excited and nervous for this one at the same time. Happy to hear your thoughts!

No way, forget it, TMNT: Mutant Mayhem is NOT going to surpass The Super Mario Bros. Movie. SMB gross over 1.3 billion at the box office not to mention that Mario is a way more popular and iconic franchise. Mario and Luigi beats those four pizza eating, sewer dwelling turtles by a landslide.

Movies that use Spider-Verse animation style = Automatic praise I wonder if ever we're gonna get an animated film with a Spider-Verse animation style that isn't very good. TMNT in particular though I am looking forward to it but I doubt this will be a masterpiece.

Calling this the best tmnt movie is like calling across the spiderverse the best spiderman movie. I think ppl who really love animation would say that. For me, this movie was amazing, but you cant compare animation to live action. Why? Because we're much harder on live action. Live action movies have to actually look convincing. Animated movies just draw it. Mark Hamill delivering a monologue as the joker in the killing joke isnt on the same level as heath ledger's joker interrogation scene. But the live action tmnt movie of the 90s inspired the imagination of an entire generation of kids. It led to kung fu being seen as cool to kids when it was more underground out in the US at the time. Its slow and takes its time. For me its one of the best comic book movies ever made. This new tmnt was great and a really good animated film. Honestly i may have liked it more than across the spiderverse, i dont think its better than the og movie

Jeremy's review is solely based on his favorite interpretation of the Turtles and how mature it can be, so that was his basis for not enjoying the comedic aspect. (There also seems to be other issues he had, but this seemed like the overall problem) I for one don't mind different interpretations considering I was brought up on the late-80s show and 2003 show, both are vastly different in tone; one being goofy and the other being more serious. But at the end of the day I'm a fan of the turtles for their personalities, so I am not gonna hinder my experience for this one based on JJ's review, movies are subjective!

I’m not saying there is anything wrong with people who are overweight(I was) and that they should feel bad about themselves, but I do have a problem with promoting it in cartoons especially, but I guess if all you eat is pizza then you will gain weight. I dealt with weight issues and people always said you’re fine and were saying I don’t need to lose weight and all that and guess what, I ended up getting diagnosed with a heart issue and realized that I needed to make changes and live a healthier lifestyle. So I want cinema to promote healthier lifestyles.
