I though those were real guns at the beginning. Seriously. Make movies. That would make me happy. Really happy. I would watch all those movies.

Most realistic muzzle flares I've seen so far. Realistic soundfx as well. GREAT JOB!
@unison_moody10 жыл бұрын
The soundfx are awful.
@zaparine10 жыл бұрын
Moody On the contray, I think it sounds quite real to those who aren't expert in gun stuffs. The soundfx is not too much echo for me. It's not that bad.
@unison_moody10 жыл бұрын
The gun sounds are like in videogames. And this is quite obvious.
@zaparine10 жыл бұрын
but soundfx in video games nowadays are recorded from real weapons with some good quality. Or did you mean old video games 10 years ago? I think it's just an individual opinion.
@unison_moody10 жыл бұрын
You can't generalize. BF3 had quite realistic soundfx on some weapons but BF4 on the other hand is quite cheap again. It rather sounds like CoD which isn't realistic at all.

I remember when i saw the 'M4 star shaped muzzle flash' tutorial video for the first time. I literally deleted all of my action essentials muzzle flares, immediately. I was amazed to be honest because this awesome dude (Independent VFX) showed me exactly what i was looking for which was the Hollywood type of muzzle flares you'd see in almost every movie... THANKS A LOT!!!!

Jamie Rubio Sure thing! Thanks Jamie, Im glad the tutorial was helpful

I'd love to see you guys tackle a realistic explosion effect. A lot of people on KZbin have been making too fake-looking digital explosions, very half-assed. Even with just five videos on your repertoire, I can already say that this is my favorite channel around here! And I trust that you guys can totally ace that realistic explosion effect!

Hi Niko - to do full auto rifle fire you would just need to step and repeat the muzzle flash effect every few frames or so (depending on what rate of fire you want). A good idea is to shape the muzzle flash differently or rotate it to a different angle every time so it doesnt become too uniform. There is a tutorial on my channel on how to full auto ejecting shells. I hope that helps.

Just saw the three tutorials and I love your old school approach. This is how we did stüff back in the '90s when I started out and this really inspired me to go back to my comping roots... Nowadays it's so, so easy to slip into Particular to do things like smoke or Element to do animated 3D shell casings and what that gives you in increased render times a.s.o... This sh!t is so light on the comp, yet many times effective enough to work as good as the more complex solutions. Awesome work mate. :)

waffles4ev3r The sounds are a mixture - some from a SFX library and some are taken from an on-camera mic and then yes - I have added some effects to them. But Im not a sound guy at all, so the sound probably isnt great by professional standards
