Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Very informative. I don't have allergies myself, but I feel for you. Thanks again.

Not at all brother. I do appreciate your video. This is my first starter bike, and I fixed it myself in my garage, with your help. Maybe I could've handled it myself, but you made it much simpler. Thanks again.

Thanks for posting this man. I need to change out my cable and I'm a little short on cash so yeah, makes it seem a LOT easier.

So the first 5+ min of the video basically says "get the right parts or they don't fit" LOL

Does anyone know if this is the same way you would go about changing the clutch cable for a kz440?

Managed to get the clutch cable changed on my '79 400 LTD but she won't get into gear at all. Gotta go back a re-do. What exactly did I do wrong?
@thorn36867 жыл бұрын
did you get it figured out? A friend of mine did his and now it goes into gear(s), but it won't engage and pull itself. I'm thinking he must have jacked with the clutch pack adjuster cause his cable tensioner adjuster is screwed all the way in and is not the problem

You did not install the cotter pin that holds the clutch cable in place at the end next to the spring. You can see the hole on the video where the cotter pin needs to go.

Good information but the vid is a bit painful to watch. 2/3 of the video was over before you actually got down to business. Never really showed HOW to thread and attach the cable but you did show what looked like completed so that will do. Not really sure if hearing the part numbers of the non fitting cables over and over again and seeing what they look like is very helpful.

Dude, if you make videos, you need to quit the spastic movements of the video camera.

new camera, now with tripod setup! I have a nerve problem and my hands shake. Lots of people mock my videoing, so i appologize.

It's OK, your info is good but you want to get more hits and subscribers.

Yessire! I'll be doing the carbs and starter on this bike soon. I'll make sure I use the tripod and keep it steady! Thank you for watching! Appreciate feedback!

I'll be interested in the vid changing the starter. I have a KZ650 so pretty much same as this one and the old school bike mechanic said you have to pull the motor and split the cases. I said you're kidding. He said No serious. When do you expect to get into working on the starter??
