Hey Kevin! Loved the revue as always. BTW, I guessed right. I like MXL mics and own an MXL 990 myself. They are definitely heavier on the bottom end then Rode mics are. The design on the MXL is similar to an Electro-Voice RE20 broadcast mic. Rode has it's good points but personally, I'd take the MXL over the Rode anyday (just my preference). You take care buddy.
