Want to SCALE your business? Go here: acquisition.com
Want to START a business? Go here: skool.com/games
If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbitl in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.
Keep crushing. May your desires be greater than your obstacles.
Never quit,
Alex
FULL DISCLOSURE
I make content to make money - just - on a longer time horizon than most. I want to build trust with business owners so we can find the best ones and help them scale. And if they’re awesome, write them a check and go all the way as partners.

I like the fact that you two love birds are real, can be vulnerable but also deliver fresh content that has tremendous value! I just wish it was available 40 year's ago but soooo grateful to have it all now! You guy's are probably my most watched AND liked KZbin video "gurus" for sake of a better term. Can't thank you enough for your tremendous efforts to help others including myself, and do so from a space of genuine love gained only through hard work, bad choices, better choices and the willingness to continually grow and share more. Much appreciation and mad respect! Keep up the great work as you are truly making a huge difference in the lives of those that are open to getting pushed, slapped upside the head and guided with true compassion to become not only better versions of themselves but better entrepreneurs, better employers and better steward's of our gracious Mother Earth. Much love to you both!

He does not do all these weird, bizzare routines that many entrepreneurs live by (Brian Johnson being one of the most extreme), but simply lives what looks like a simple life. It speaks to me and probably does too to millions of followers. Just a simple, hard working man. A true role model. I can't think of any more genuine and honest guys out there making millions. I am currently broke, unemployed, trying hard to make a living, but this guy inspires me to believe in myself. Never skip desert!

I love the old content as much as the new content even though the new content took me a while to get used to it after it leveled out. I like this video a lot and it's definitely not the old style. The last few month's content feel like a nice balance between the older videos and the newer more popular "in your face" editing style. It's artistic enough to highlight the material effectively without taking over. Well done☺

I know the influence behind the beater and shorts wardrobe. It's the ability to present more without spending more. When you think of Steve Jobs, you see a nerdy guy with glasses, black turtleneck and well-worn and cared-for jeans. It's the person that provides the branding, not the clothes themselves. I would gladly wear a beater and shorts consistently if there was no need for a "Formal" dress code and it would make me a better asset to the company I work with. I wouldn't have to worry about suffocating in a three-piece suit which helps me relax and get my job done and even perform better in all aspects.

Ok so I got the release date of the book: He said: If I used the usual method the book would be available in spring 2024, because it takes 9 month after finishing it. With my method, I can get it available 16 weeks after I finished it (so 4 monthes). So I considere that when he meant "spring" he meant: 30 June So the book should be finished 30 june - 9 monthes: September 2023 It takes him 4 monthes to publish it so the book should be public around December 2023 - January 2024 release PS: Can I get a copy/pre-sale for my guessing skills 😇

This is a good question. In my opinion you only need two things to get this kind of audience. One: to have proven yourself in a difficult field (i.e. build a multi-million dollar business; be a NYC bestseller etc.). Two: To help others achieve the same in a genuine, human way that people can relate to. It's not easy, but do just those two things and your audience will be waiting.
