Many a year ago I was told the back two cylinders overheat, water cooling would have fixed that assuming the rumor was true ??.

They can overheat. You have to be careful. Water cooling would have helped. I have a larger oil tank to help with that. Some people run an oil cooler to help as well

@@motohomeless9168 Yes an oil cooler would help, I fitted one to my cb750 and noticed it then had a slightly higher oil pressure when hot, fitting water cooling would be the best however that would be a major task.

I like the square four. If Ed Turner had made the cranks both 360deg running as they are it would have had perfect primary AND secondary balance like the Brough Dream did, he could even have made the valve train balance out. I wonder why he went two 180 cranks?, fuelling issues?, I know that was the excuse for the 360 deg Triumph that had a single carb, but as soon as he went twin carb they could have gone 180. ( I have a T140v) .
