Congratulations and happy anniversary! I have been looking for ways to work from home and escape the 9-5 grind. I lost a friend to cancer and she was only 42 years old. She had dreams of what she would do when she retired but, sadly, she never would retire. I don't want to waste my life away on a meaningless job. I want to do something exciting. I'm mainly interested in audiobook narration but I don't want to overlook all the other voice over opportunities. You mention overcoming fear and just taking the plunge. Fear has stopped me from pursuing a lot of dreams. My main issue is not knowing where to begin. Which website would you recommend for beginners to get their foot in the door? I see in the description that you have a course. I may look into that. I could use all the help I can get!

I swear I’ll stop I have one more question…if you started today at square one with the huge selection of recorders with audio processing at the capture point would you recommend recording bare audio then doing post to tweak it or would you use something like a rodecaster that has all the EQ and compression built in? I didn't have "Top Gear" either when I started, most of us don't. Just do your best with what you have and upgrade add you go. Your recording space/ environment, and your vocal delivery are more important anyway. 😉
