My girlfriend lived here. Very nice apartment in a great location. I stayed at Baan Thai Residence 34 Nimmanhemin Street . It cost a little more about 6k baht a month but it had a great pool and bathroom and location.

His apartment is very near the Kad Suan Keaw shopping center, not the Central Shopping Center as he states at the beginning of the video. The Central Shopping Center or "Central Mall" is close to the airport.

Look at PP Condos much better quality, modern, with flat screen tv and a full modern kitchen for a similar price with a sofa and table and chairs. The place you are showing is a cheap apartment that has seen better days, it just looks like a cheap old fashioned hotel room.

Bobby Crush This place is a old dump. First new in 2005. Now run down. We moved out because rats in son’s room coming up the drains in building 4. Our room in building 6 full of tiny ants, plus they crawl and eat you on the bed at night. Then we moved to building 5 that had cockroaches. Yuk ! None of the floors or rooms are smokeless, so you get a stale air in the Hall way. Eventually on our level there was nobody staying all moved out as it’s not a nice environment. Can be very noisy with non-Thai-Asians. The pool is nice but people smoke around it and the constant cars and motorbikes cause pollution, as the pool is in the car park. The restaurant is now chinese, has been overtaken by chinese, which has become a nighttime smoking club. Even saw the chef smoking in the kitchen. Chiang Mai when I arrived in 2006 was lovely after a massive influx of a particular Asian country became not nice. So heavy traffic and pollution nowadays. Burning season from February to end of April. Dec/Jan packed with tourists. Many nice places outside of the city. Just remember THAILAND is ranked number 1 by WHO to be KILLED by a motorbike or car. It’s the most dangerous country in the world. Chiang Mai orthopedics are doing surgeries on road traffic victims every day. I’ve even seen a car go up on the sidewalk with pedestrians. Drink driving is the culture. I’m still in Chiang Mai and HATE it now and I’m moving out of THAILAND ASAP. They will hit you by the car or motorcycle and leave you for dead. Happened to my American friend. No accountability here. Only good thing about THAILAND is it’s cheap. Bring good travel insurance, hospitals dam expensive cost my insurance 400,000THB for 2.5 weeks no surgery just tests and rehab after an accident. THAILAND was great in the past

Hi Jason, great videos and information you're putting up. I have a question about daily expenditure. How much would you say it costs per day for food and travel and beer and other miscellaneous little expenses? Do you think $30.00 per day gets you a comfortable living there?
@Jason636258 жыл бұрын
+Cannon Fodder Hi Cannon Fodder, I think $30 is comfortable to live in Chiang Mai if you are renting an apartment like this, eating street food or at cheap tourist restaurants, having a few beers a day, and a couple of songthaew rides. If you are traveling around the country regularly or you want to eat western food all the time, about $40 a day would be more like it.
@batayangosh8 жыл бұрын
$30 equals to 1050 bhat, thats a lot of money to spend in a day for food only. I am Indian, I do not drink alcohol everyday, usually 300-400 bhat is enough for me, considering the fact that I love eating thai food. If you like thai food, like rice and curry type, you may get big dis for 100B at a reasonably clean roadside thai restaurant. A medium size Pizza with 3-4 toppings in Pizza Hut costs 350B, large would be 500B. Chicken Burger and large fry and drink come for 150B.

$30 AUD is 750 thb today.a thai person only makes 3000 thb a week

I've been watching these Thailand apartment videos... They've all been more like hotel rooms. Don't apartments have kitchens? Maybe a living room?
@sag.32798 жыл бұрын
evidently a lot of these younger newbies live in these small rooms. I could always find at least something a little nicer than what I've seen. 30 meter is what you are looking for but also something a little nicer than the basic plastic door. there are places w bedroom and kitchen, hard to find but they are there a little farther out and takes time to look and find them and they are a little more money. why they are bragging about these horrid rooms on youtube is beyond me. pool is ok.

some apartments are like in NY, one room with an ensuite if your lucky. my gf lives in bangkok and rent is $112 AUD (2800 thb) a month for such an apartment. it depends on your taste. some of these ppl doing these videos live pretty well for what they are paying, but could live a lot cheaper. you still need an income.
