My 2023 Style Recap - Trends And Reflections
In the video the British Dapper talks about what has happened on the British Dapper Channel and in the UK fashion/sartorial scene during the past 12 months. His observations of the trends and changes in the style on the high streets of the UK. He gives an overview of how The British Dapper Channel has grown in support and subscribers and the mile stones achieved during this period.
Not many people can afford the full price of an expensive pair of shoes or boots, so this is is a more cost effective way, of achieving the same look with the same quality of items and at a more cost effective and in an economical way. He talks about some fundamental things to consider when purchasing items and highlights the recent series of 4 video related to buying thing online.

Yes Chris, it's a relief to see the skinny look trend going away. I have always preferred a high waisted, full cut, pleated fit to my trousers. I don't care for belts. Braces are my style. The information, inspiration and passion you and Ash have provided us is making a difference in this world of sartorial ignorance. So many men want to dress in a sophisticated way but haven't learned and don't know where to begin. Thanks for helping all of us on our road to becoming properly dressed gentleman. Happy New Year. There are a number of different clubs, out there for men's style - The Sartorial Club is one that offers different levels of membership, but there are others. the Nirvana Club is one that Ash Jones and I discussed after the meet and greet in London and Ash made it happen. there are a number of forums and Facebook groups out there as well👍🙂

Like others here, I am not sorry to see the end of suits cut so tight that they look like fabric shrink wrap, and jackets tailored so short in the body they barely cover the backside. On a much brighter note, with my (tweed) deerstalker on and magnifying glass in hand, you posted your very first video on 13th January 2021 (Basic Shoe Cleaning), and announced 1,000 subscribers on 9th October 2022 (21 months later). Just 15 months on (31/12/2023), your subscriber base has just hit 5,600. That is impressive growth, as is your back catalogue of more than 150 videos packed with good sartorial advice. Well done! The upward trajectory of your channel, and others like it, speaks volumes for a wider movement of us gents who want to smarten up our appearance, advance our personal development and, I hope, our gentlemanly manners to go with it. The C19 pandemic, and the `working from home’ (WFH) culture that came about as a result of the health emergency lockdowns, has taken dress code standards to a nadir of casualness. Something has to change and it is interesting to note that by far your most popular video is the one about tying different tie knots, followed by mirror shining shoes. Along with many other gents, young and us older ones alike, your channel has inspired me to re-examine the contents of my wardrobe and the way I present myself sartorially as well as my personal grooming. Apart from a regular, smarter, haircut, and a good shave, the act of putting on a decent shirt and tie and polishing my shoes is as good a place to start as any. There is something very empowering about aiming to be the best dressed man in the room. Believe me, it is not difficult when the bar of attainment has been set so depressingly low. People notice stand-out sartorial smartness and even just one compliment can work wonders for your confidence, and everything builds from there. It has certainly worked for me. They can look good, but you have to have a certain physique for them to look good and the majority of people I've witnessed wearing them don't have that physique, so there not the best looks to wear👍🙂

Hi Bob, glad to hear the skinny suits have faded away where you live, but obesity is unfortunately a growing issue worldwide, with more people being obese than not and is becoming a growing problem for health services etc 👍🙂
