I feel like the tires were chosen specifically for their off road performance and their on road gr86/brz characteristic. It blends on/off road handling so you get to know the truck and can predict its moves more regardless of surface. Just a thought. Ford dumped a lot of resources into the raptor engineering, and id like to hear their thoughts on tire chioce for the Ranger Raptor.

@TheTopher Maybe you can answer me this question since I'm not a truck guy, but why aren't people asking for something just like a pickup truck but with a built in hard body cover...so namely a van? All this tinkering to secure an open truckbed that no one is filling with anything that exceeds the height of the cabin kinda blows my mind. A 4WD van with tall cabin and removable seats would be the ultimate answer to every flaw in a pickup truck (except maybe for 5th wheel applications). Family shuttle, work vehicle, towing capacity, offroad. It's like they could kill a couple of their other categories and just make certain things like bed length, height, engine and interior fitments modular and focus on quality. Heck, they could even utilize the cabin frame as a platform for a crane to lift engine blocks or whole pallets in for deliveries they could unload themselves. Unless you really wanna toss a shovel in slo-mo into your truck bed like the commercials show....about the only reason I could imagine you'd want an open-top truck bed. Giggity.
