when I was a young man, I took a spin in the snow & did some minor damage. My friend was a mechanic so I went over to his house. I didn't want to admit the mistake so I said someone had clipped it while I was shopping. Just at that moment, My friends dad (who wad a damage assessor for an insurance company), stepped out of his house, took one look at my car & said "I see youve spun and hit a wall". I used to work at a grocery store in Connecticut in the same exact Plaza as that Walmart. There was a basketball player who used to drive a newish Alpina (not sure which one) all the time and shopped in my store. It's incredibly rare to see that expensive of a car in the city that recipt is from. Real tall guy, taller than 6'7 for sure. I never knew his name unfortunately but I did some research and the one player that looks very similar is Greg Strokes, a retired nba player from Connecticut and his daughter was attending UCONN, a college in the area. Former body shop guy here. If there is no frame damage that's an easy fix for even a rookie. The rear 1/4 and interior door panels will be pricey cause there Maybach parts but the door skin is Mercedes and there's 1000s of cheap ones out there.

I lived in a very upscale neighborhood of Tokyo until end 2013. I noted a Maybach like this once or twice outside the home of a shipping company owner. Then it became parked across the street in a garage of a neighbor where the nose stuck out and they could not close the door because it was too long, so I would see it every day. In Japan you need a designated parking space to register a car and you have to submit measurements and diagrams. A neighbor around the car had a Mercedes McLaren SLR, Bentley and a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S for daily errands, but rarely visible except when the garage door was open. I was one of the few who owned a Japanese car.

@@redtestarossa No, but close. We lived just across 246 in Shooto-2-chome. We would occasionally take walks down to Daikanyama T-site or whatever it is called. Another amusing car observation was this 60-something lady around the corner who drove an 80s LHD Rolls. (RHD would be too common). She would drive it down like 800 meters to the Tokyu-honten-Bunkamura department store and park it illegally outside.

I had the same thing on my BMW. Box trucks have metal spikes that stick out on the rear steps, if you cut across them or they cut across you too closely at the rear of the box that's what you get.

Ok Tyler I'm with Ellie on this one for so many reasons beyond the Wolverine scar. This is a car that can cost tens of thousands of dollars for a single wheel, hood ornament or taillight. It's a mechanic's nightmare requiring retraining for what would be simple repairs on any other car. Parts availability is nonexistent so any repair takes forever. We all have such fun watching you and Wizard rescuing high end hoopties but this is a money pit beyond any sensibility, this is a car designed to have a full time attendant maintaining and driving it for the owner. It's like owning a private jet which is a treat reserved for billionaires.

It was hit by a motorcycle. Getting ready to make a left turn, coming out of WalMart, a motorcycle going the other direction was lane splitting, clipped a car, shot across 2 lanes and hit the door. The rider was taken away in an ambulance but got out of the hospital the next day. Don't know his exact injuries, there are still lawsuits pending but, I assume, injuries were relatively mild. That's what I think happened but it's just a guess.

The damage is too low. If it were a dock high box truck or trailer the damage would have been in the roofline. It's probably a cube van. Something similar happened to my Eclass a few years ago in the same spot. Tore the door up good.

Had one. Same number of cars but mostly 80s and 90s US cars plus the odd Honda Small city driveway + detached small garage + crappy midwestern weather = major upper body strength gained from pushing dead cars in the winter Got good at remembering which parent drove what which day Started carrying tools in my backpack for the inevitable breakdown Was a lot of fun!
