Good day my Lovelies. As we all continue with the Covid quarantine, there is no better time than now to try a long fasting. In this video, I fasted for 36 hours and then took it to 40 1/2 hours. Watch as I show you all the ups and downs of my fasting and what I consumed for the 40 hours.

I attempted my 72 hr. fast last week only made it to 52. I lost 9 pounds! Im doing a 36hr. fast this week...can't wait for the results :)

My longest water fast was 13 days. Now, I just do 24 hour fasts a few times a week along with regular intermittent fasting and I throw in a 3 or 5 day in here and there. Go Auntie Jillian!!

I think I fast naturally all the time because I only eat when I'm hungry. Alot of the time I'll lose my appetite don't quite understand what's happening when that happens. BUT WATCHING WHAT I EAT DEFINITELY IMPROVES MY OVERALL MINDSET MY IRRITABILITY LEVELS BE AT A ALL TIME LOW. LOVE YOU LADY KEEP DOING U😘

Great video of your experience doing the 36 hour fast. It has been a lifestyle for me for a few years now. And you gave some great advice on starting gradually in the beginning. I lost over 50 lbs doing alternate day fasting and also more extended fasting. It works amazingly also for mental clarity and strength. Hope you continue to document your experience.

Auntie Jillian the longest fast I’ve done in one set was 5-6 days long. I completed one meal a week challenge, for one month. Only drinking water, black coffee and sometimes I cheated when I needed a sugar kick and had double double coffee from Tim’s. It was purely for weight loss and I was determined to loose it in a short period of time. But this is after doing IF for over sometime. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have medical clearance and you know your healthy. Lost 20 pounds in 1 month.

Auntie Jillian yes the weight stayed off, however quarantine life and the refrigerator being so close to me 7 days a week whispering sweet nothings. I have since gained 7lbs back on being in quarantine for almost 2 months. But this is from since last August after loosing the weight. I maintained by doing OMAD prior to quarantine.

I tried a 24 hour fast some years ago for the health benefits and it does make you feel better and you have soo much energy but I haven’t tried since, I hear intermitted fasting is good to try for some people and I’m not a good runner but I do strength train occasionally but mostly get fit through walking regularly and my husband’s a long distance runner and is healthy as a horse, I wish I had that running gene like him, and congratulations on your fitness journey, I know it’s gonna be exciting!💪🏾💪🏾

Thank you. They have walking apps too. It’s all good now if the weather keeps up but I’m not about to run in any cold temperatures.

Auntie Jillian we say that because fasting is really a biblical principle. You will have an effect on your body but fasting really is for spiritual growth and intimacy with God...So hence the reality that it’s starvation or a body cleanse if the spiritual commitment is excluded ...but not a biblical fast

Best way to break your fast is by having light fruits such as watermelon, melons etc! Go jullian🧡

I contacted a fasting expert and he said that the best food to break a long fast with is soup broths.

Wow! Go for it! I am not big on extra fasting other than what I get during sleep time. The gas build up would trigger my IBS. But all the best Auntie Jillian!

Yes be careful with your IBS. I’m usually very gassy and bloated but this has helped me a lot.

Actually, Fasting doesn't cause gas build-up. It's actually meant to help rest your gut, allowing it to heal and reduce inflammation like IBS. Although there are foods that can aid in reducing inflammation in the gut, so if fasting isn't someone's cup of tea then there are plenty of other safe and healthy options. Just wanted to throw some information out there. I do hope everything is well now and you're doing amazing!

I did a 5-day water fast last year. It was hard. But, by day 5, I felt great. Now, I'm on day 5 of my juice cleanse. I plan to go for another 5 days at least. Although I'm drinking tons of nutrients now, I just realized after watching this video that I actually felt much more energized and alert on the water fast. I might have the change this up.

The most I've done intentionally (not sick) was 18 hrs If. I did the 18/6. Awesome tips!

Word of caution. Ya gotta be careful with your glucose level. I ended up passing out from hypoglycemia when my eating habits changed & glucose level dropped to about 60. A little orange juice & crackers elevated it back to about 101 within a few short minutes and I felt much better . You may want to make sure you have no diabetic indicators in your system.

Great advice. As soon as things get back to somewhat normal I’m doing bloodwork. I find that adding Himalayan Salt helped with the light headed feeling. I’m doing 17/7 everyday so far. Not noticing much weight loss but I do feel light.

Make sure you’re not drinking too much water without eating because it can cause water intoxication & throw off your electrolyte balance. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_intoxication

Try it out if you are healthy enough to go without food for that period.

Next time add salt and pottasium (snake juice) to your water. The side effects will be very mild.

One time I did a 3 days apple cleanse it was good I think I will do it again and try your fasting too

@@AskAuntieJillian It was fluids for the first week or so it was water only and weeks after that juice and tea. It was for spiritual reasons, I was in consecration, fasting and prayer. YES I lost mad weight doing it even though that was not the point.
