For me the most important frags are le male because it got me into frags. Ambre sultan because it reminded me of a dessert my lovely grandma use to make for us as kids. The quality was so high I got hooked onto being curious about other niche frags from the moment I first put my nose to it. GIT because that’s when I discovered my signature scent. When I smelt it initially I felt like I was transported to a green forest, hands down still my fave and made me want to explore other masterpieces that could invoke the same experience. Eau Sauvage edt vintage because it began my curiosity and exploration of vintage frags. Still my fave vintage.

Creed Bois du Portugal is my favorite niche fragrance as well, and is the perfect office/work fragrance for me. My original "signature" fragrance was Aramis, followed later by Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme.

Good to hear the backstories on these. Always like to hear your reviews and commentary. Mine are Jovan Musk for Men (first I bought back in 79 and wore up to the 90's). Coach for Men (when began wearing fragrance again last year and wanted a modern scent). Chanel Coromandel (the first must buy after sampling it at home and bought the biggest bottle). Armani Privé Ambre Eccentrico (my favorite).

Dan this is an older video but excellent content. I just acquired a new 4 oz Bois du Portugal. I have 60 + excellent fragrances now both Niche and Designer but I think this is the crown jewel of my collection The juice is more potent than a recent 100 ml bottle but also bc the bottle is no longer in production a beautiful collectors item. Thanks for all you do.

Thanks Paul. I don’t think you have to be IFRA compliant to sell perfume. Possibly just if you want to get into dept stores etc you may need to comply. Not sure.

I remember so well in the 70s 80s ect the gents fragrances. With the old formula. Actually things like the matching soap deodorants shaving foams talk were sold in abundance. As the actual mens cologne ect was to expensive. But the soap deodorants ect were very potent. The density of the modern gents now is around the same strength of the deodorant or soap then in the old days.
