I totally agree! Being able to use pokemon I would normally overlook is one of my favorite parts of using a nuzlocke. I recently did a run where I only used pokemon based off of Rodents and I used my Raticate to sweep Sabrina's team and avoided any casualties. I was even in gen 1 when psychic types were extremely OP xD

Watson, Tat&liza, and surprisingly Wally in victory road has been my run Enders. Watson because there was really no counter for him this early. (Irony how both fire and ground types are just up the road, after we defeats him) Tat &Liza because double battle. And just hard in general. Walley. Because he pop out of no where, and calm mind Gardivour is horrifying.

That counter slakoth is one of the most dangerous pokemon in the entire game! This is the third emerald nuzlocke video I've seen where that thing has been featured front and center, you're the only one of the three not to lose a pokemon to it! I had to look that up, because it seemed like that counter should have killed your starter, but according to the pokemon database entry for double kick, 'The move Counter only counters the final hit'!

yoo thickfat is such a good ability you basicly take 50% less fire and ice type moves damage and that on of the biggest reasons how you were able to sweep the fire type gym

Yeah Castform, its actually really good for the point in the run you get it at. Its good for Winona as well as tate and Liza. When i fought the twins i actually had pokemon on my team that benefited from both sun and rain. So having someone to set that up for me was a godsend

@@EZDoodles No problem! I may not be a big youtuber but I know pokemon pretty good. Extra tip, stat boosting moves can be very helpful as well. Just be sure to look at your pokemons stats and sets to get the most out of them.

I did an omega ruby nuzlocke and team consisting of a maril, two wingulls and a swellow got B E A T TO ABSOLUTE DEATH by Watson leaving me with my over leveled swampert and a level 12 zigzagoon/HMslave and a broken heart. So I feel your pain.

Fun fact what u forgot to say is u can only catch the first not 1 pokemon per route and i think u can train ur pokemon and i did start my nuzlocke but i lost on the first gym i had a waater type lever 10 i was thibking i would be fine bc on gold yellow rock attack isnt affective on water types but on emerald its like a normal attack so u can see why i died the boss was jus tusing harden and eating berrys why did he need to have harden why not more attack
