@@garythdragon Suga is a male sugar glider. That spot on his head (and one on his chest) are perfectly normal and natural for him. It is where the boys have scent glands. It just means that Suga is a mature boy.

@@garythdragonIf a male Sugar Glider is not neutered, they will develop a greasy sort of “bald” spot on their forehead as they begin to enter puberty (usually starting around 8-12 months of age). This is completely normal, and it is one of three scent glands used by the male to mark his mate, his offspring, and his territory.

As a keeper of a lot of sugar gliders, I love this video! The addition of your adopted sugar glider makes me excited for that dedicated video of him. I knew already that he is a male because of that bald spot in his head. Male sugar gliders like to rub their head against the female to pass on his scent, sort of marking his territory, and giving affection to his mate or mates. He also do this to the joeys. In taming a sugar glider, I would suggest to put a piece of cloth near him. Not a regular clean cloth, but a cloth with your sweat in it. I know it's unsanitary but this is the technique that was taught to me by the breeders and keepers before me and it was effective! As of right now, I have a quite a few sugar gliders and I would love to give you some advice as well on how to keep them. Just hit me up, Mikey! Good luck on keeping him and I hope that you may have joeys soon!

@@m.a.ddragon939 at some scenarios, they do that. To the point that they bang their heads inside the cage and let themselves bleed out. But in Sugar's situation, the bald spot in his head is caused by rubbing it hard on its mate. It really causes them to get bald on the top of their heads and even on their chest (they do rub it too).

Just because I hope that you read my comment: your crayfish belongs to the species Procambarus clarkii - the red swamp crayfish, Louisiana crayfish or mudbug. The color morph is called 'ghost'. This is the only crayfish species in the hobby with this coloration and the morphological characters fit as well :) I commented the same info at your previous video where the crayfish was introduced but I doubt that you saw it. There I also warned that this species is a ferocius eater in regards to plants. The shrimps are to small and fast for it to catch - as were the fish. Therefore, I guess that he ate the fish after they died of other causes. Edit: wuhu! You read it! 🎉😁

In Volcania ... for fish... consider something like a school of neon tetras or other tiny fish that might be more available in your area. They are very small and should be more difficult for the crayfish to catch. The other day I found a small type of tetra here called a head light tail light tetra.... they have amazingly reflective/glowing areas by each eye and at their tail. So cool! I may add them to my turtle's rive tank. He also eats fish. Some I put there on purpose to give him something to hunt. But there's always some small fish that he has a hard time catching and can hid in the rocks. They usually last a long time.

So, clickbait check: no, the leviathan ants are not dead and they are completely fine despite the implications of the thumbnail. Seriously, i love the channel but i wish it didnt use as much clickbait. Both this kind, and the "and youre gonna be blown away by what happens next!" stuff.

I find your post very interesting. Very cool! You are a very creative and interesting person. If I am wrong please forgive me. I used wonder why you don’t like to be on camera. But now I feel like you are trying to keep the focus on the animals. If you were the nerdy kid into animals, 🐜 bugs and science, thank you for educating yourself so that you can educate others. I learn so much from watching your posts. I start watching them and then I hear you saying that I should watch your next episode. I wonder off until I run into another one and then the same thing happens. Thank you again!!!!!!!

I wanna give a personal thanks to you. Thanks for your help. I was able to capture three queen ants over the summer two clean outs have more than four workers. One still has four workers on the way. Aunt Canada is truly the greatest.

It’s been a while since we had an AC ants tower. would love to see one of those again. It combines the best of like a terrarium and AC ant farm. I don’t know if the colony needs to get bigger… I don’t think it does but I would love to see you one of those return to the channel.

Thanks for the update! It's great to see what's going on. I'm sorry about the lost ones, but as you said, it's part & parcel of keeping any animal. Re the tarantula. Didn't you have a sapphire one which had loads of babies? What happened to her? She looked so healthy and very beautiful.

For species 555 I'd recommend given this is quite possibly the first one in your country in captivity, I would recommend as natural a habitat as possible but also a protective one.

For your 555 crew, with the little i looked up, they're soil dwellers who like to make home at the base of plants. I love bonsai, and I love those bonsai forests that can be created. Think that would be sweet to make what looks like a mini forest for the ants. Whatever you do will be awesome! Enjoy!

So sorry to hear about the Queen Weaver Ant. Yes, death is part of the hobby, but it's rather unfortunate that she's gone, as I really want to see you raise a large and successful Weaver Ant colony again. May she rest in peace :( Also, yes. I'd love to see a dedicated video on Sugah, he looks like such a cutie! :3

I just learned of something called the "Panda Ant" which I think would be a neat collection to add into your ant room, also their hasn't been much documented on them and thought maybe you would find them interesting and cool looking along with being able to help get some more knowledge of them
