What do you guys think of the BMPCC4K and MFT mount in 2021?

Bro, I think I want a t-shirt with an image of you doing the "Wash your hands" gesture, with the words "Wash your hands" beneath it. 😅 Hehe. Awesome review, as always, Anson! I agree, absolutely the 4K with MFT is still a fantastic choice. I'm thinking about going for the 6K Pro late this year or early next. ☮️

I agree all around... except for the speedbooster. I personally love the VistaVision look, and the XL booster on here brings the crop factor down to only 1.2! I love the way 35-50mm lenses look with that full-frame field of view. And also, in what I’ve seen... even though you’re technically adding glass... the booster actually improves sharpness. Especially with older lenses like Nikkors or FDs.

Exactly. It's all about knowing how to shoot with the camera system you have. I've shown some of my work to people and they'd never guessed it was m43. The BMPCC 4k is one of the best cameras on the market that offers tremendous value. It simply has to be used correct. I use that along with my GH5 and can't really complain. For low light I usually light with Aputure lights so no problem for me. Nice work!

Sir , do you think you would still recommend this BMPCC 4K in 2022 like right now for Beginners as videography , short film , Music videos main purposely to start a shooting a Video because it has good quality . What’s your thought 💭 about this

Don't forget if you need to do multicam work the BMPCC4K gives an excellent low cost option but with quality results. Also timecode facilities are great. Re lenses, you can do so much with old glass adapted for use with M4/3, I use a lot of old Pentax M, Olympus OM, Kiron, Vivitar Series 1, Chinon, etc. There's so much good equipment out there at a low price. Manual focus is easy to master with old glass.

Still such a good camera, especially for $1300. One of my biggest issues with the camera is how fragile the USB-C port is and how expensive it is to repair it...mine is forever broken

My dream camera right there ! I LOVE the P4K from the form factor to everything basically, the only thing holding me back is: 1) don't have all the money still xD waiting on jobs to give me the money I need to buy it and 2) the Z-Cam E2 M4 which is another MFT beast... I really don't know, If you ever get to use the E2 M4 Anson I'd love your feedback, specially since you're a P4K and P6K user (the OG Pocket too) Great video btw !
@Ansonandco3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! I have not personally used a z cam camera but I can tell you why I chose a p6k over the e2 s6 and that is simply file type and ease of use. I cut out this part of the review but one reason I don’t like cube cameras is because it’s harder to strip it down and go super minimalist. If I wanted to I could put a lens on the P4k carry a couple of batteries and shoot whenever I want because people think it’s a DSLR. But if I rig up a camera I may get called out if I’m trying to more street shooting or doc work. And I am not a fan of pro res. I can pro res on these cameras and the files are SO big. And to use pro res raw I have to go back to Final Cut Pro which I have no interest in. But that’s me and why I chose what I did. You have to consider thing and way the pros and cons for you. Good luck!

Better than BMPCC4K - BMPCC6K. And better than BMPCC6K - Red Comodo. I don’t see any cameras in between that are better suited for budget movies. BMPCC4K will be a good camera for the next 10 years.

A KZbin tip that helped me was to get a laundry sack and pillow from Amazon. Pillow in the sack, sling the sack over your shoulder and rest the p4k on the sack. I forgot what the real name was for the gear but it works very well.

where did you come up with the price $1300 to get it up and running? The camera itself is $1300 without a lens, with one will cost you atleast $500. that puts it at $1800, plus extra batteries and SD card, at $2000. Way off from the amount you said. Convert that to CDN and the price is well over $2500 lol

Blurry background is a photographer's obsession. When non video people see it they think there's something wrong with the camera. And when you tell them you actually like it they think there's something wrong with you. Who knows. Maybe they're right.
