Very fucking true. My dad used to take us to therapy, because our mom apparently traumatized us, she didn’t, and everytime we went I would ask the lady if what I said to her would be repeated to my dad and she always told me no. So one day I get the courage to tell her that my dad used to beat the shit out of my mom and I have memories to prove it to myself. Well we get into the car and I get chewed out for telling her that and I’m sitting their crying knowing I’m gonna get my ass beat and feeling betrayed by my therapist. Adult do shitty things for shitty reasons.

Now, I dont have anything at all backing this up beyond personal experiences with friends/family but I truly believe that it you make it out of a dysfunctional family/childhood healthy (mentally and physically) then you'll come out of it just as Jennifer has; more loving, caring, and kind than you could ever imagine. I'd imagine it having to do with them knowing full well what's it's like to be on the other and to never want to do anything remotely like that to another person, even if it's just being rude or not caring about someone. It boggles my mind how someone can go through something like that and be the opposite of what you may expect them to be... lord knows I couldnt do it and the difficulty isnt lost on me. I suppose it's kind of like how someone who is depressed might try their hardest to make other's laugh, I'm sure that's called something but I'm by no means a psychologists. It makes sense in my head though.

@@robertsmith4157 Yeah but a lot of normal people will still protect their family members even if they committed a serious crime like murder or rape. My 26 year old cousin was molested by our other much older cousin when she was a little girl. She told her parents but they wanted her to keep it a secret and not say anything about it because they didn't want to cause drama in the family. She only told me later on because she was afraid he might have done the same thing to my little sister. Luckily he didn't or I would have killed him for those evil actions. I hate him and am still pissed that he didn't go to jail for rape. The cousin that was molested is a very important person in my life and I despise that she had to go through what she did. I sadly can't do anything if she doesn't want me to confront him. My parents know too and my mom still loves him and tries to defend his evil actions. And yeah, in cases like these, they're just negligent af when they're actually supposed to be there to better the situation and to put a stop to many things. The police did everything they could for her children to appeal to the common sense of the family court judge, who is 100% responsible for putting those kids in the line of fire by ignoring their evidence that he was a dangerous sexual deviant, a murder suspect, and still granting him supervised visits. And “supervised” doesn’t mean shit if the supervisor that's assigned isn't required to be armed and/or proportional in strength to the untrustworthy parent, and the judge knew the system doesn't work like that. If the social worker here, who was a 65-year old small woman, had made it inside with the boys, Josh would’ve killed her too. It would be a miracle if she weren't sexually abused by the perverted men in her family - poor woman. So many lives have been ended and devastated by the evil acts of Steven Powell and his depraved son Josh. May they burn in hell for all eternity! He attacked those precious little boys with an axe before he burned them to death in the locked house - imagine their terror. Utterly horrific.

The gov't is not at fault, it is not their job to fix families, CPS and law enforcement is a last resort. Where were the other family members, somebody saw something, knew something. where were the teachers, the neighbors?? The Aunts, Uncles,.The Grandparents.The Mother, the friends You bitch about how CPS is at fault , then you wonder where they were. By the time these agencies get involved, it's too late in many cases. The father was insane and you tell me only the gov't can swoop in and fix a family that has been totally fucked up and unfit probably for decades. Some people should not be allowed to have children, like this family. Those kids didn't have a chance.

The gov't is not at fault, the many people who knew and didn't have the balls to make a call and take a stand , that's who's at fault, use your fucking head.

If you go listen to the full 911 call you will see who dropped the ball here-the 911 operator delayed the boys’ rescue which almost certainly caused their deaths.

@nicktalk85895 жыл бұрын
@@THEOLYMPIAGUY360 you mean NOT the federal gov't? Nevermind, CPS works with law enforcement, courts. GENERAL ....it's all gov't. The feds DID get involved in this case, they had to because of the suspected possible location of Susan's body. I'm not trying to argue with this. THE COURT ORDER FROM THE JUDGE was STUPID. KIDS ARE DEAD after being handed to a murderer right through his front door, END OF STORY. Maybe some would hand their kids over to a CPS worker and follow the rules. That's FINE for their children, it would have NOT been for MINE. Mine's alive and well btw. Theirs are DEAD.

No the father failed them. Don't blame the system. The system can't go around taking children just because the stupid public thinks it's best. There are steps that are required in every process and obviously they didn't see it fit to take the kids genius.

@@flexl9214 But the fact that Josh claimed to have taken the children out camping during a blizzard didn't raise alarm bells? And aren't most supervised visits supposed to take place at a neutral site? And not in their f***ing house?
@flexl92144 жыл бұрын
@@RYMAN1321they can't check with every parent to check if their stories check out. The parents need to raise these kids not the system. But In regards to the visitation. It can be anywhere they decide to do it. They see a mediator before hand and all this is decided heforehand with location to meet and times and duration. So this is decided by both parties unless one party does not make the appointment. Then it will be chosen for him/her. So it could be a house. A mall. A restaurant.. a park wherever is clever.

Flex L It’s their job. I was failed by the CPS of my country as well. Do you think I care that “they can’t check with everyone”? Being told I’m a liar and attention seeker by members of the CPS impacted my life in such a negative way. People should just in general be more on guard when it comes to child abuse. I don’t have sympathy for the system and I don’t have to. They didn’t have sympathy for me. They were sloppy and didn’t do their job.
