If you get wooden broom/rake etc poles or just a long branch they make good perches. I had a similar set up and stuck them between the cage panels

Mrs RACHEL, I recommend that you put around the cages about one foot down anything strong that can deter any animals from digging so they can get inside the cages and get dinner and run away with it, I had seen it happen, so be careful.

Everything looks great! You can find some long sticks to put through the bars for them to perch on at night, they’ll like that. I had to cull 7 cockerels yesterday, it’s not easy raising livestock. And yes when breeding for splash you want to breed to black or blue and that’ll give you the (bbs) blue black splash coloring. Chicken genetics is really interesting.

*lifeofsenza* Couple of questions please 🙏😅 1) Are you going to show your Partridge roosters and hens in the show ring? 2) I know brahmas and origchages are very similar and you stated you have a cross cause one of your Roosters did a hmm unforseen breeding with one them,now you have a cross.. Will you be breeding the cross brahma/origchages or use it as produce meat to eat? 2b) since origchages are meat hens and roosters and they bred pretty fast too: Have you decided how much of the origchages you'll keeping back as breeding pairs for upcoming meat selections? 2c) you have some jersey Giants who are protective of their hens,and other roosters/hens of other species. Will you be breeding jersey Giants purely together or rotating the hens and jersey giants out from each other to better other hens you have from your hatchery collection? That's kinda two questions right there 😅 3) these are relatable questions: Will you be purchasing other chicken coups for the ones that are outside while Tilikums watches them at night and day times? Cause lord 🙏 knows chickens get loud 📢 as fck if they see predators outside at night,their vision isn't all that great 😢and God forbid 😞 if groups of foxes bait the dog outside to go after one of them while the ones dig under the barrier of the fences not one to eat them,stress them out but kill them just shut them up 😢
