Was a WWCG member for 30 years, now out for 23. I appreciate that you pointed out some of the numerous inconsistencies in WWCG teachings, particularly cherry picking through the Old Testament. Years later, when I started reading the Bible for myself, I realized that I had never observed the Feast of Tabernacles, nor had I kept the Sabbath. What we were doing was merely a facade of the original Holy Days and Sabbath. Not only that, but the Holy Days were for a particular people, at a particular time, at a particular place, for a particular purpose. God bless you too!

Ray do you remember the healing anointed with oil cloths that our Parents used on us when we were sick? Then they had to burn it afterwards , To me that was one of the crazy things they did by burning it afterwards .

I remember Y.O.U.T.H. And I think YES something like that when I was a child in that cult. I was in it from birth-almost 18 years old 1976-1994.

When i waa a kid we went to the Worldwide Church of God, The Church of God, Seventh Day, The Seventh Day Church of God ( yes, those are different denominations ) , the SDA, the Seventh day Baptist, the Shepherds Rod and the Branch Davidisns. My dad had a book put out by The Bible Sabbath Association that had the names and addresses of all the Saturday churches so i got in all of them. Fortunately my moms cousins were Lutheran and i was allowed to go-to the Lutheran church with my cousins. There was even a Sabbath Penticostal church near by but we never went there.

I noticed that you mentioned "a Sabbath day's journey." I wonder about that too. How can they reconcile driving 2,3,4 hours on the Sabbath to get to church? Driving IS NOT resting!

that's why sabbatarians never, and I mean NEVER mention this passage, even though it's a reference to the sabbath in the New Testament. You'd think they'd be shouting it from the rooftops.

Every 'Church' that professes GOD, has confrontation from satans believers. The closer that Church is to GOD, the stronger the effort to pull it down, destroy it and the believers. Saw that in WWide first hand, then in another preoffshoot Church the sin of Shebna comes forth. At this end time, who is Eliakim that is given the office?, THE CHURCH?.

The Worldwide Church of God had nothing for the children. No summer camp or vacation Bible School..it was incredibly boring for me as a kid.

In the cult I grew up in we were made to sit some bearded guys lap and forced to eat choclate bunny rabbits. When we got older we were told it was all fake Never got over that. Luckily I still have the reassurance that most of the world is going to fry in hell forever (especially JW and SDA maybe jews) Glad to hear it all worked out for this guy.
