Yesterday it ran perfectly, today it wouldn't start.. Spark but a dry sparkplug and no fuel.. totaly dry. I found a hose with a broken of connector of some sort.. This must be it! Thanks a lot!

@allreza- maybe sh*t in the carb, always blow port for autochoke(a must do) as well as the jets blockd port can cause such things, check petcock by removing vacuum pipe on the head side and removing fuel pipe, point fuel pipe into a light coloured container and suck with mouth on the vacuum tube, you don't need to suck and suck, just quick intake to clear the petcock then stick tongue or what ever on the hole to maintain the vacuum, this will test the petcock by whether it allows petrol to flow, meanwhile allow an ample amount of petrol to flow into container to check for water, takes a beady eye but in certain light you will see what may look like a kind of bubble that may in fact be water as water and fuel do not mix. if water remember to remove tank and thoroughly empty and dry, clean carb thoroughly and change oil all to ensure no water, You may want to check spark plug cap by removing off spark plug and screwing it clockwise into the cable to ensure it is not loose! Hope this helps!

Got the cut out problem on my 3 year old Lexmoto Tornado 125. Buying a fuel petcock from Hong kong.... only way to pay reasonable price. Only few quid including postage compared to a crazy 23 quid I seen who Lexmoto refer me to lol! Weird how it decided to do this after a short journey into the city got recovery covered by insurance is a money saver! Motorcycle will start after standing for an hour or so but cut out even with a long rev.

Friend had this same moped, he installed the gas line into the gas line intake on the fuel peacock and just took out the air line itself. It runs great but it stalls on rainy or anytime it might start to rain. Now he uses it to make errands and predict when it’s about to rain. In the winters, it wont run when it’s slushy weather, the wet roads make the moped stall and not start up. It’s something to do with the oil fuel air mixture in the carburetor. But to lazy to help him fix this issue. Just told him to get a new carburetor.

That is absolutely amazing and right on the head to the problem I'm dealing with right now she's flooding out a little bit of moisture is inside of the intake manifold from the pipe that was going to the petcock identical setup there what's a horrible gas and vacuum lines I wish I can get those clear or colored ones

Great Video! This vid led to me fixing my scooter. This is exactly what was wrong with my scooter. The dead give-a-way was when I pulled off the vacuum line it spilled out a teaspoon of gas. It also did like in your video. If I pinched off the line it would run at a high rpm. Anyway, after I ordered a new one and a quick install, I am scooting around better than ever. Thanks!!

Or if you can get it to start with a little throttle and it won't idle without throttle try adjusting the idle on the carb if you love at altitude you will have to increase the idle to keep it running

Hey guys, quick tutorial on troubleshooting these gy6 motors. First off if gas is just pouring out of your carb you need to pull the carb, cllean the float and reinstall. And unless you want to do this every other time you ride you need to install an inline filter. Secondly Most problems with performance or stalling or loss of power can be attributed to your valves. They need to be checked and reset every few months. For more on that just ask google. :) Good luck

Hey man if I change to a on/ off valve from the original vacuum petcock, all the videos I'm seeing are saying to plug the vacuum line coming from the intake manifold. I have the fuel line going from the gas tank to the bottom port on the carb. What then should be connected to the top port of the carb, if anything? I'm getting to make sure my fuel and vacuum lines are all good before I try and change the gas tank cause I noticed some potential blockage in the metal tube that pulls the gas from the gas tank(shadows in the light). I've already put on a new carb and verified spark and changed almost everything I can think of. Losing hope ngl 😭

hello, my 150 CC Chinese scooter has been running like crap since I've had it, I've got about 50 miles on it now, when I first got it it was very hard to start and would not idle, so I replaced the carburetor, now it idles and starts,, but bogs down and shuts off after a couple minutes especially after acceleration, I have replaced the fuel petcock, coil, and CDI, could I have a vacuum leak or I need to adjust my valves? This scooter has what I believe is called the pair system on it ,,so it has a vacuum hose on each side of the intake manifold ,,the vacuum hose that goes to the vacuum operated fuel shutoff valve splits off in four different directions one goes to the carb one goes to the shutoff valve and the rest go to what appear to be canisters I have no idea what they all do. I am thinking of bypassing the fuel shutoff valve, because after warms up and accelerate it feels as if it's not getting any fuel. What do you think the problem is? Any help would be appreciated ,,thank you man

I am not sure if this is related, my brother took off the vacuum device and it ran pretty well with the gas intake going directly into the carb, but now i put it back on and the only way air goes through it or gas is by it being "backwards" of what the arrows point. I am stuck wondering if the arrows mean gas flow to the carb or FROM the gas tank... or if the device is completely messed up.

Hello. I have a wangye eivissa 2 125cc scooter year of manufacture 2022. I notice you have an air drian filter. I have one on my scooter and its a YT80 WD air drain filter. I have 2 pipe being feed to the bottom of the air filter and one pipe missing. Would you happen to know where the missing pipe goes to as i dont have a service manual for the scooter. Cheers

Hi my Direct Bike DB50QT-11 the fuel pipe on my one, has a fuel filter and on the fuel tank is the suction valve you said, and the pipe line that goes to the carb is the one with the fuel filter, and on the fuel filter is a line tilling me no fuel should go to that line, but my one goes well over the top and can not see fuel, so do you think my fuel suction valve is stuck open. thanks

Ok so when jetting my 50cc scooter... I think it just stopped getting gas ⛽ putting my hand on back of carb feel sucking but no gas.. I took hoses off cleaned them but still nothing. 1st took i took carb apart it was filled with gas 2nd time same 3rd and 4th nothing! Is it more likely i pinch a hose or old hose broke/cracked or maybe for running to big of jets (started at 90) it screwed something up?? Just trying to figuer out where to start what parts to order.

Hi, nice vid, imo fuel will not condense in the vacuum pipe like that, thus most probably the vapour is water and maybe due to water in your fuel tank, I have had such problem with Lingben scooter where bad design fuel cap did not keep out rain?

I have a 2007 Johnway Bemine 150 cc scooter. How do start it? It there suppose to be a kickstart on the left hand side? I tried to start it with the key on and put a screwdirver acrossed the solenoid with no sucess. I know this sounds dumb but what's the starting procedure?

So if I don't have a diaphragm the item that you described then why wouldn't it idle every time I start it up it'll start up and then it'll eventually die and then when I try to crank it up again and then it won't start until there's enough fuel in there and then it'll start up and then it'll die I'll check again and see if I even have this

Serious question because the guy working on my bike did this. He ran the tube from the gas tank and conected to the fuel filter and conected the fuel filter to the carb. Then he just pluged up the vacume line with a screw. Is this advisable and is it safe for my scooter?

That’s perfectly fine to plug the vacuum port. There is two. The vacuum caps dry rot quickly. The screw in the hose is a better method

All he did was remove the vacuum actuated valve. Without it, when fuel evaporates from the carb over time, the tank of fuel will continue to flow in to replace it. Eventually, the tank will evaporate over the course of a few months. You could also get some buildup of additives in the fuel that can clog ports.

Hey guys I have a Piaggio Free 50cc kick-only scooter and it has always started on the first kick since i bought it. A few days ago that changed over night and now it wont start at all cold, I need to pull the throttle for a couple of seconds for it to keep going and not stall directly after the kick. When it's warm it runs and starts just fine. If I had to guess I'd say it's a problem with the choke, but I'm really no expert. please any ideas?

omg im having the same issues with my chinese gy6 only had 400km to the ODO. i still find the problem. only cold start that i had to pull the throttle so it wont stall but after warming up it had no starting issues. i've cleaned the carb, changed the cdi, spark coil, spark cap. ive tested the enricher and its working fine. so i dont know what is causing cold start problem. could it be the pet cock or maybe the carb tuned too lean?

If you bypass the vacuum actuated fuel valve it could possibly fill the carb with gas and slowly leak out on the floor. It would be better to cap off the vacuum at the intake manifold and install a manually operated fuel valve. The vacuum actuated valve is simply there for convenience. With a manual valve the operator has to turn the gas on to start the scooter and off when finished riding or the gas can leak out through the carb. The vacuum actuated fuel valve is a good idea but they are made so cheaply they seem to often fail.

There are two SNEAKY things that cause this on small cycles and scooters. The number one thing is your fuel valve the petcock is not fully opened or the little filter on top of it is blocked. Remove that fuel valve and it can take a little strength if it's really tight so use a good decent wrench... THAT IS USUALLY YOUR PROBLEM WHEN IT STARTS RUNS BUT WON'T STAY RUNNING ESPECIALLY THE KENETIC SCOOTERS AND THOSE MOTORIZED BICYCLES FROM THE KITS ARE FAMOUS FOR THIS...
