Amex plat charge card does give renewal benefits if you ask, but you can’t recover your fee from that. But it is a joy to hold and present at the establishment

Hotel memberships, free one night stay in Oberoi and ITC on spending two nights, Taj epicure membership, unmatched concierge, invitation to premium events, access to Amex loungers that are way better than ordinary lounges, the list is long.

@@amitabhmaheshwarisir its the benefit against renewal fee I am talking about. another thing, every tom and harry has this card now. lounges are crowded. even the events they organise where they offer free dining in a hotel etc get sold out in seconds. for me, it doesn't make sense anymore. it did make earlier. I am free to change my opinion right?

@@dugarnirajof course you are. But benefits are benefits, whether on renewal fee or otherwise. I feel that with a certain kind of lifestyle it is not that difficult to recoup the annual fee. And their concierge is still way better than others and so are their lounges. So there are intangible benefits too.
