@@hbk42581 ...and mid July..pay to become a member ($20) and get 60% off $17 and change each...cheaper than blu ray. Save up for it and buy 20-30 at a time...go in with a list and stay disciplined...wait for the next sale, repeat.
@ratedgp28275 жыл бұрын
It's not as bad as you think, they are actually cheaper than any new release 4K. It's only at Barnes and Noble that they are priced at $40, but Newsflash! All the blu-rays are way overpriced there! At least they do the 50% off sale twice a year for an entire month so it's an opportunity to get them in-store.

For me I only buy criterion films that were made by Akira Kurosawa, were made in Japan, or have samurais/Ninjas in them, or well known classics like Doctor strange Love or how I stop worrying and learn to love the bomb.

Great collection! :) Saw this video in my recommendations and I love Criterion so I had to watch! And now you're one subscriber closer to 10K. By the way, Vampyr is based on a novella called Carmilla, which is known as the first of vampire fiction. it's included in the book of the Criterion release.

Blue is the Warmest Color is pretty much the most consistently cheap Criterion on Amazon, being between 12 and 17 dollars for the blu-ray most of the time. If you've never seen it I highly recommend it, especially since the Criterion release is the only way to get the movie in the U.S.

Hi, Jeff, that's an impressive Criterion Collection collection. I don't have nearly as many as you do, (sixteen) but some films that I noticed you are missing that I would recommend are Barry Lyndon, The Breakfast Club, Dead Man, Ghost World, The Princess Bride, Time Bandits and True Stories. You’re collection is sweet. I’m a fairly new subscriber so I’m just catching up on this video. Just wanted to recommend the Criterion release of the Complete Monterey Pop festival. It’s a release as important as any they have done. It documents the whole festival and is the moment rock and roll was really born. Not many people knew who Jimi Hendrix was before the show, but everyone would know after. Music before was merely Pop. I’d be interested to know what you think of the release because I see you get excited over good movies and good sound
