Interesting welcome to Kenya. The reason why the airport security separates people from cars is because of our unfortunate experience with terrorist attacks. Kenya places a high premium on securing public spaces. Especially the airport, malls, supermarkets, hotels and anywhere were there is high human traffic. Im sure you noticed this difference with our country as well. Security checks can feel like paranoia but are necessary for deterring enemy attacks on our beloved country. 🎉

Due to terorisim that's why the airport, placed such rules and not only at the airport, its for screening, body capturing, even malls security had to be beefed up.

On food... Kenyan food is quite diverse...and we also do have plantain, but it is not popular... The dishes range from meat products eg muturwa, to traditional African foods and vegetables to swahili dishes (sort of like a mildly spice indian foods), to a plethora of wheat products eg chapati, mandazi, mahamri etc

Thanks for confirming, I have always observed major cultural differences with my friends from Nigeria with me in diaspora. I keep telling them " don't say in Africa we do this or that ... just say in Nigeria because we dont do the same in kenya" sure I tell them no-one will ask for a "gift" at the airport, of mpesa they think is exaggeration, then the food😅 we are soo different, they think mine is flat food and I say theirs is too spicy or greasy. You are absolutely right, so similar yet soo different. But still Kenya is at another level in terms social welfare and reducing economic austerity. I have shared this clip with my oga friends-ooo thank you so much Cheta's world for coming to my defence😄 now Olu, Ade, Emeka. Amaka and others will know the truth, you get what I mean eichhh oooo😂😂

Reason as to why we don't do AC Nairobi is cold city, we only put it on when need be, if you requested they could put it for you, but mostly in places like mombasa, generally coast region its hot, ACs are always on.
