The one part I really don't like about this video is the concept of "earning" dinner by exercising. This seems like a dangerous concept, because one day you might get really busy and run out of time to work out, but that doesn't mean you should skip dinner.

The longest I've ever gone on raw food is 30 days. It is HARD and for me, quite boring. I enjoy too many cooked foods like steamed vegs, potatoes, rice, soups, etc. Eating raw foods every day for too long almost got repulsive, but to each his own!

I know a lot of people say that your lifestyle is expensive. And I agree but I love the fact that you also give us an alternative with what to eat and how to prepare them... in a positive way. Although I cannot afford to do this all the time, incorporating some of your menu in my diet and doing a little twist to make it cheaper helped me a lot to be motivated to be healthy. Kudos. P.S. I think this diet is most excellent for sick people so that they can still enjoy yummy foods with risking their health.

while I love her and the messages she always proves to me how being fully raw would be completely out of my budget. I spend 60 a week on me and my 3yr old our diet includes oatmeal rice beans gluten-free pastas and tofu add fruit in smaller quantities. watching fully or odd days or even a couple weeks is fine I don't necessarily think 100% all the time is necessary for optimal health I think vegan is completely necessary of course

So you didn't give a price point for the figs in the afternoon, however adding up the cheaper end of everything you listed, it came to $18. So let's just say $20/day for just yourself to eat on this diet. You know you are out of touch with every day people and families when you believe that is a reasonable price that people shouldn't have any problem spending. $560/month for an individual, never mind if you have a family to feed.

Couldn't agree more! I feed a family of two (I'm vegan but my husband isn't) on $300 a month and I've been told by several people that that's quite a bit for just the two of us. Eating the way she does, I would not be able to afford my rent. It's crazy what some people consider "affordable". Who eats a $12 salad every night?!

All of that looks delicious. But let's be realistic- you work at a co-op that sells these organic foods. You probably get a huge discount off or if not you're pretty loaded money wise from your companies, so you have the money to spend that much on organic foods. It's easier since it's just you, but for a family spending about 9 thousand dollars a year or more (double or triple that depending on how many family members you have) is kind of hard. Especially since organic food costs way more.

+Le Lo in the first comment a person was saying, that raw foods are too expensive, she wasn't talking about vibrations and energy. not all the people can afford a raw lifestyle, if they live in cold places or don't get paid enough. not all the people can have their own garden. not all the people can afford such a BIG amount of fruits and vegetables. by the way, whole wheat grains aren't unhealthy. They have a lot of starch, which is a complex carbohydrate and raises insulin level slower, also some vitamins and minarals.

I love your general positive message and the way you encourage people to add in more fruits and veggies, even if it's just people transitioning to one raw meal a day. However, I'm sorry, but you can't say this is inexpensive. You say that your dinner costs $10 - $12 dollars 'which is just what you spend on a dinner in a restaurant' - yes but Kristina, people don't eat dinner every night in a restaurant because it's not affordable!

About $600 per month is $100 more than what I pay in rent each month! Hey Kristina! You should do a 1 week or 1 month challenge where you eat FullyRaw on SNAP benefits, or the equivalent food assistance allowance. Then make a video reflecting on your experience. I work with a nonprofit that provides fresh produce to low-income families living in food deserts and a video could draw a lot of attention to this important issue!

You have to look at the whole picture, I guess. If a person doesn't have to pay anything for healthcare or drugs or special shoes for foot problems, etc, etc, it might equal out in the end. Most people don't count the intangible costs of poor health, such as feeling awful when you are ill.

I guess many people resent to be told that eating fully raw is better than the normal food they eat. Kristina says her way is better and healthier, but that is just her opinion, not the real truth. She seems to try to convince the world to eat fully raw, but not everyone thinks she is right. What is good for her due to her diabetic condition does not apply to people who don't have food related health issues. So I guess, people fight back to defend eating normal food. There is something abnormal, extreme in eating fully raw and people resent to have someone trying to impose it on them. Fully raw can be very good for dieting to lose weight or for fasting for spiritual reasons. Otherwise it is not normal and people will fight to defend their right to eat normal cooked and varied food.

I understand the concerns so many of you have about cost. This is certainly a consideration for me as well. Some ways I deal with this: (I eat similarly to Kristina, though not fully raw, and I eat more fat, though not a lot by most people's standards.) First, I don't seem to need as much quantity as Kristina. I eat fruit meals too, but it just takes less for me to feel like I've gotten the amount I need. That might be due to the added fats that I eat. Another way I am working to deal with cost is by growing some of my own food. I have begun small, and am gradually increasing what I am able to provide for myself. Figs, like Kristina is eating, grow easily where she (and I) live. Of course it takes a while for a tree to reach maturity, and if you move often this is less available, but you might look for what you can grow. I produce lots of sprouts in my kitchen, plus some other seasonal veggies and herbs in my tower garden which takes very little space and can move with me. I also buy nuts and seeds in bulk and store them in my freezer, so I can purchase at a better price. I know, I know. Many of us are just trying to make it through our busy days, but a little less complaining about Kristina's comments about affordability, and a little more problem solving may help. I do feel healthier and more energetic than I ever did eating my previous diet. This is an indirect cost savings in many ways!.....tomorrow I'll be making pesto with the basil growing in my tower garden.

One note I think should be added is that you are in TX- when I was there for three weeks I was spending double what I spend in Kansas City. For those complaining about cost- you can make it work if it is a priority and by adjusting. I eat lots of apples, bananas, dates, (higher calorie, lower cost) and then whatever fruit is on sale that week is what I am buying. Also realize all those condiments and extras like broth aren't being purchased. If you have a tighter budget possibly do raw til 4 and include rice, or potatoes at night. Everything in life is what we decide is a priority.

Personally I’d love to swap out some of the fruit for veggies and add some nuts or seeds ☺️ I don’t think Kristina deserves all the hate though for how much she spends on her food, if she can afford that that’s awesome for her!! I know I couldn’t afford her food bill but it doesn’t mean she’s wrong for it😊

Hey Kristina, my name's Jade, I'm writing to you all the way from SA. This is my first comment, only because I couldn't find any comment bar before now lol (using Mobile so don't laugh at me) first off I just wanna say I have SO MUCH LOVE for you! Don't EVER stop doing what you're doing! I have so much appreciation and respect for what you are sharing with the world! From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for all the colour, joy, happiness, positive vibes & inspiration you bring to my life daily! (And yes, it really does brighten up my day & uplift my spirit to see your beautiful, colourful, vibrant pics & the inspirational messages you leave and just hearing what you have to say in your videos♡) A question I've been wanting to ask your opinion on is... How would you eat, or is there such a thing as Raw "warm foods" what I mean is that I think I could easily live on salads & fruits and just enjoy the refreshing hydration all day in summer but in winter it's much harder, I find I want to eat warm, hearty, heavy foods because I'm cold so what advice would you give to people wanting to adapt this lifestyle that live in cold temperatures (or winter time for me) I've thought along the lines of ayurveda, how you get hot and cold foods because of the affect they have on your body, but I don't really know enough. Another question along similar lines is. . Do you ever drink herbal teas? just something I've wondered as they have many healing properties and are good for you but it's not 'Raw' if you're boiling water so please tell me, what is your take on tea? Thank you for listening, sending you my hugs & my love! ;) xxx

I would also compare just going vegan... doesnt need to be raw. Also grow some plants that will flourish in your area maybe? I am just a normal vegan and I can promise you it is much cheaper then eating meat. You have to think about how much you spend on chicken steak fish etc. Fruits and veggies are going to be cheaper and if not, equivalent.

Jah love Kristina. Give thanks and praises for sharing this thorough meal plan of what you eat in a day. I love it!!! And I continue to be inspired by you. I love the fruit and hydration during the day and the protein at night. I am having a hard time eating between 6 and 7:30PM. And I find that my digestion works better and I get no bloating when I eat dinner by those hours. I am excited about getting your book. And I just want to add that not only are the meals that you prepare organic, from your co-operative (locally grown in Texas?) and affordable, but they are also made with love. And that last ingredient is really necessary for a healthy life. Blessed love.

+Iris Benis Ignore the rude comments. You can actually lose weight on a raw food diet, and probably will. Fruit has a combination of sugar and fiber which work in and through the body in a completely different way than just added sugar. I'd definitely do some research in it if you're looking to lose weight or change the way you eat! Good luck to you!

I love your colorful outfits and jewelry! I do that too! I am recovering from a divorce and am in full-time school. I don't have much money - as in - I am barely making my rent and bills and have virtually no savings. I am on disability and was told I cannot work - or lose my benefits - which will then prevent me from finishing school, which is my only option- to get out of this situation. I have been married my entire adult life. My 3 kids are grown and gone, moved away, mostly. I have no support from family, and with my history of abusive relationships, I feel I am a magnet for predators. So - I find it very difficult to trust and to meet nice people, who will treat me well. I am emotionally down and it has impacted me physically. Since I am living alone for the first time ever, I don't feel like cooking for just myself- I have no energy, no motivation. I continue to do self-defeating/self-destructive things. My question to you is: what can I eat- on a very low budget- to make myself feel better and healthier? I live in 1 of the worst places for organic foods. Michigan- near Detroit- we don't have much choice in our produce, and organic is way more expensive than non- organic produce. I live in an apartment- small- with very little light. No where to grow my own produce. I haven't been eating much meat, or eggs for a year, now. I eat oatmeal with a handful of walnuts and 1/2 cup berries. Then- maybe a salad with nuts and dried fruit and dressing on it. What is a good alternative to dressing to get bitter greens and spinach to taste good? I like veggies, but do not own a juicer. I don't like all veggies raw. Some I like steamed or roasted. I just don't have any energy. Do you have any suggestions? I go on the treadmill most days for an hour at a moderate pace. it's not doing much. It gets my heart rate going and improves my mood- but not much in the way of physical changes. Best advice I should focus on 1st??? I tend to try to do EVERYTHING at once and then get overwhelmed, and discouraged -and then do NOTHING. Bad Habit.

Making salads yourself is the cheapest, healthiest and most delicious way to eat - I like to keep it simple, easy to prepare and inexpensive - for example: a big helping of dark leafy greens, 1 slice of onion finely chopped, 1 tomato chopped, a chunk of cucumber chopped, a few beans, a few mushrooms , a few nuts and a tablespoon of flaxseed. I season with Mrs Dash, garlic powder and a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar. I think this all costs under $2. I purposely exclude animal & dairy products & plant oils which is a big saving. For dessert a few blueberries, strawberries and a small portion of soy ice cream.

+FullyRawKristina, I have started a "mostly" raw diet almost a month ago on accident. I was aiming to just eat cleaner and healthier and found myself eating mostly fruits and vegetables. I have lost 10lbs so far. I love it so much, finding that mangos and watermelon are my obsession know. When I go to the grocery store, I head to the produce section and some almond milk and I'm ready to go. In the midst of doing this, I went to McDonalds and got what I had usually gotten and found that I didn't eat it all due to taste. I guess I have found something more appetizing. Thank you so much for posting such awesome videos. Love you and keep posting! :D
