This is what I love about watches. The love of them from all different walks of life. You look at this dude, see the beard and see the hat, then you think this guy is a natural all woods kinda guy….what does he know about watches? THEN BAM!! He rips out an impressive collection of watches, one being the Lorier Neptune which I’m actually looking for (actually I’ll take the Neptune and the Gemini). From the Christopher Ward to the Marathon, to the Lorier to the Oris! He just keeps pulling out bangers. Great video and beautiful collection.

The Seagull 1963 is a great option for a mechanical chronograph (hand-wound). You can pick one up for $200 or less, with sapphire, display caseback, and in either 38 or 42.

Congrats on your watch journey. Really like the panda dial. Smaller watches are great. No excess heft and smaller case are very comfortable, especially in very hot weather being the southwest. +1 on the Speedmaster

And I don’t even have feel bad about spending the money on them because they’re all around 25-30 dollars.

Oris give you everything you need and nothing you don't. All killer no filler. My 65 is probably my most worn timepiece even amongst other premium timepieces, which speaks volumes.

Don’t worry about plexiglass. I own a 1940s Longines and 1980s Vostok and they both have it. If you scratched it it’s easy to polish

Great video! I wanted to offer my $.02 on the Speedmaster Professional hesalite from someone who has owned it and sold it. First off, it's a great watch with a lot of presence and history. Loved those aspects. Didn't care for the fact that the WR rating left me not wanting to get it wet and the newer bracelet with the screw links has very little adjustment in the way of half links or micro positions. This leaves many doing clasp retrofits from other models. Pretty ridiculous on a $5200 watch retail. I'd go used if I were to do it again and go for a model 3570.50.00 which has the pinned bracelet.

For leather straps, you should check out Two Stitch Straps...they are amazing and you can order the strap to your own custom measurements...they even do great vintage straps...I recently bought an Yema Rallygraf...I wanted it to look like the old school Yema with their distinctive rally straps...Two Stitch Strap made one up for me custom order and all, you can even choose your own stitch color...I highly recommend you check them out for a leather strap for your Christopher Ward.

Love my Damasko DC66. It's almost my daily wear watch and it doesn't have a nick on the case. Not a single nick. Oh, if you get the DC67, you have a choice of GMT or timing bezel. I opted for the GMT bezel and I use it all the time.

I find lots of the straps I got from them are really long. 7.25" and usually have to wear theirs on the 2nd or 3rd smallest hole.

I recently became enamoured with it as well. Historically, I didn't care much for chronographs because I generally prefer a central, running seconds hand and I didn't like having subdials. Contrast that against my idea that Bauhaus-style watches were a little too minimalistic for my tastes; the Chronoscope seems to strike a balance that I didn't know I liked until I saw it.

LOL I love your answer and that shot for 'Why didn't you buy a Sinn?' 12:56 Because I wanted a Damasko. I been struggling with that question for so long, they both are so identical to me that I can't choose yet. Glad you find a good differntiator between those two and know what you like, I wish to have that clarity someday about watches I like. I end up buying something I think I like (I do like them at that moment) then after wearing them for few months I realise I like this watch but theres something off and I go on a spree of finding something I might like. 20:25 You should checkout Tudor Pelagos's bracelet, the bracelet flexibility is beautifully done.

Wish I kept all my old Casios that I had throughout Highschool. I'd like to give them to my kids. Think my old man threw them out years ago. Still have an old Tissot chrono I bought round 20 years ago, Seiko 5, Seiko spb079 & a Rolex Airking. I might sell the spb079 to get a Seiko Arnie for nostalgia. Sweet spots are individual. Everyone desires, wants, needs and budgets are very different. For me, I went from many watches, including some expensive ones, to 3 watches that are high quality luxury products and one cheapo beater watch worth $500 that if I smash it or lose it, I could care less. Others want 50 seiko watches as their collection sweet spot. For any person who collects valuable timepieces, the issue becomes insurance and storage. If you are going to own 3 watches worth maybe $50 grand, you better have the right insurance on them and to keep changing pieces like underwear, becomes a hassle with your underwriter. Trust me, I know.

Im a total watch nerd. I wear a hesalite speedy all the time and the crystal is fine. Little polywatch once a year and your good. Dont get into the watch hobby it costs crazy money. I also collect Firearms which can also get expensive but watches is a way more expensive hobby. I Can't wait till i get my Lorier Gemini. Im supposed to get mine by the end of the month according to Lorier.

Hey man i like your content. you should consider making a video on magnetic edc tools effects on automatic movements. Seems like more and more edc tools utilize magnets like flashlights, key chains, wallets, phone cases exc. it would be interesting to know if just using my s1r II in the same hand i'm wearing my watch would do any damage of if my magnetic phone case set next to the watch on the nightstand would have any effect. have a good one and keep the content coming

Try the Seiko Tuna 300M marinemaster versions. Probably the king of the quartz tool watch genre and with legendary history and legacy. You won't regret it. And oh- the lume is incendiary and just unbeatable.

I prefer acrylic/plexiglass much more over mineral due to polywatch being able to take any nick or scratch right out. Doesn't work on mineral.

If you wear it on the bracelet, get a seamaster clasp, you jet the quick ajust like on the rolex submariner, the watch gets 10 times more confortable...

I'm surprised you don't have any Hamilton watches, it's an American company that's now Swedish owned by the Swatch company. I just got my Oris Big Crown and love it. It's one I wanted for a while. For a dress watch you should checkout the Orient Bambino line, great watches.
