Honestly I will usually just carry my phone and wallet. But the medical supplies in the car is a really good idea, I think I’ll make one up for myself

Start carrying a cheap pocketknife. You'd be amazed at how useful it can be, especially when it's cheap or durable enough to really beat on

Good point on cash being the universal solver. I carry a fake wallet with an old credit/gift card and $100 in 10s. It's enough cash to constitute a win for a mugger and a lot easier than dodging bullets. All the muggings where I am are usually two person teams with a loaded weapon.

I agree. I’ve been thinking doing that for years. Fake wallet with old, expired gift cards and maybe even fake money or at least $10 to $20…

A multi-tool. A good Leatherman or Gerber can fix a lot of little problems. My wallet has a pen and notebook also. Super handy in certain situations. I like your set up, simple and to the point. 👍

For the headaches, have you tried a more natural solution? Like Black seed oil?
@staysafemartialarts7 ай бұрын
I will look into that. I get migraines on a regular basis so i now take a monthly shot and i rarely get headaches, but i have some pills that will stop one if i still get one

@@staysafemartialartsthat's tough luck. Have you been to the doctors office? Have they found out the causes of the migraines?
@staysafemartialarts6 ай бұрын
@@archicad3717 yes and it has been taken care of. Only a monthly medicine taken via injection and it works wonders. i rarely get migraines anymore.

Butterbur twice and feverfew 3 times per day, it's the first thing that helped me, even after prescription pills! 💛

What if they don’t accept cash where you go? Better take some gold bullion

@@staysafemartialarts I see. Well I hope everything is all right. You look way too young to be on regular meds, I'd consult another doctor if I were you. But whatever you do, I hope that you stay healthy. All the best to you!

For pepper spray, I carry the POM clip unit. It's clipped into my right front pocket. My flashlight is a nitecore edc 27 which is clipped into my left front pocket. The locations are crucial bc if I have a unknown contact. As long as I do distance management, I will talk to them with both thumbs in the pocket and the rest of the hands hanging from the crook of my pocket. Its more subtle than having hands fully in the pocket and in case they close in its easier to block, parry, flinch, or whatever bc your hands are already mostly out. Plus since I'm already pinching both tools when put my hands up quickly its easier do it while holding them. So once I hopefully evade or block their first strike I have both tools in hand for the rest of the fight. Flashlight in left hand and pepper spray in the right hand work great bc you can temporally blind them then if they look back to try to get you then you can spray them. Meanwhile if the contact ends up pulling a lethal weapon out, you can easily just drop these two things and go for your own gun.

A question: is this good advice for women (non fighter but with basic knowledge and expirience in self-defence): I read on the homepage of our regional police department, that you shouldn't use any weapons (even sprays) when attacked on the streets for several reasons: situation could escalate, attacker might disarm you and use your own weapon against you, you might committ a crime with the weapon in the Situationen, and possible wittnesses don't know who is victem or attacker. But the advice doesn't feel right to me for all situations. Could you make a video on how to use legal weapons (and which ones) for self-defence as an untrained person?
@staysafemartialarts2 ай бұрын
My advice; whatever you carry train with it. Period. Know how to use it, how to deploy/draw it, and how to protect it. More importantly learn to fight if you are going to be carrying any form of personal protection
@ajvs20542 ай бұрын
@@staysafemartialarts Thank you very much for the information! I don't carry any weapons on me at the moment, but something that stuck in mind from some self defence advice for women was to make a fist with your bunch of keys once you feel unsafe, so they can function as brass knuckles! I really like this idea. What do you think about this suggestion and how whould I train with this "weapon"? I allready practiced how I could quickly position the keys between my fingers and hold a fist. 😬

It's insane that the police is telling you to be at the mercy of criminals. I wonder if their standard advice of "never react" is also valid for kidnapping and SA

Any reason you chose the el nino vs theyre full size push knife?
@staysafemartialarts6 ай бұрын
i love the size of the el nino. slightly smaller blade means i need less room to deploy. Ill do a full review on that blade as well soon

@staysafemartialarts Awesome thank you! I since research it and believe the blade length is the same just a bigger handle on the large push knife
