Look at it this way. The best thing you can do is walk away. You will seem more confident and attractive. They will eventually miss you and have some regret. The right. As the idiot ex who broke up with my boyfriend a few years ago over something stupid and then had a rebound relationship, they’ll always probably compare what they had with you to the new rebound. I just found you both over the last week.. Coach Margaret reminds me of my grandmother.. shes not with me anymore but i think of her when i need comfort.. its nice that you remind me of her! The person I have feelings for is a complicated character, he's quite mean but have some nice qualities underneath it all. For the last 11 months we saw each other every weekend (after the boys activities which usually involve drinking. but he is non commital. Also we only had about 10 actual dates all up, I always asked to go to dinner or something and it would take him 3 or 4 weeks to finally agree each time. Each monday or tuesday he would pull away. I would accept and let it go each time (most times this was heated) and then by the weekend he would approach me again kind of with his tail between his legs. I've been hurting for 10 months and about a month ago he called it off. He went on holiday and said he missed me and when he came back we united again for one night. Within 24 hours he was mean again telling me to literally "f off to work" in the morning. Then he was cold and mean and for one week I pleaded. Last week I stopped contact. On the 7th day he emailed me whilst drunk and I didnt respond. The next day he added a friend of mine on insta and i knew it was to get to me. I broke no contact and told him off for liking pics of her butt. He is like that, he thinks being mean and cheeky will trigger me, and it did. I blasted him for being a drunk and a drug addict and a pervert. He said he didnt want to hurt me and that he loves me. All i want to do is tell him that I love him too... but hes so mean, hes so non committal and he plays these games. When I was pleading he would reply "get gone" "scoot" "go f someone else". I need to heal. I didnt reply to the i love u message. I dont trust him with my feelings any more. He takes advantage of my forgiveness and then tosses me to the curb again. I just don't know what to do. Its so hard to move on.

This is the best thing that can happen to you, if the new person is a good match you can move on, if not they will soon contact you. Trust me it happens, if they come back they do it crawling. Then you will have to tell yourself if them having sex with someone else is ok for you. You must be afraid if they don't meet no one new because it means they are recovering in the right way, to move on definitely.

Thanks for this Craig. Its been a few weeks with no contact, after my boyfriend of 4 years left me for someone new or to just try the single life, however my ex is still picking up things at our joint leased apartment and hasn't given me the key yet. I feel on edge wondering if he will walk in on me sometime unexpectedly. As time passes, at first I wanted him back, but as no contact progresses, I thought about it and am starting to feel better being single. How do I approach this if he contacts me later on or weeks from now wanting me back when I think I have already made up my mind not to take him back?

My ex left me and started dating someone else almost immediately then moved in with him. I know it's not going well, becuase she called me crying because he beat her up. I immediately went over, helped her move back to her parents, then she said she wanted to see me soon. We made plans, but she blew me off and went back to his place. Haven't heard from her since. I got sucked back in, used, and left behind again. It's not fair.

Day 14 of no contact. We didn’t date very long, only 10-12 weeks, but we moved fast. We constantly texted, exchanged “I love yous” and kissy face emojis. She broke up with me after our first argument/disagreement. Totally blindsided. I miss her so much.

@@adrij4961 Around fall time last year, I noticed she had been looking at my Instagram stories, literally everyday. Eventually, I messaged her and asked her how she was doing. I could tell she was embarrassed because I asked her about the stalking. We exchanged pleasantries and were nice to each other, but that was it. That was the last time I heard from her. I still think about her daily though.
