Gucci are Swiss made and they’re very decent quality. I’ve heard they’re making some in house calibres now but in think mostly Ronda/ETA quartz.

That Frankenstein Seiko looks good. It’s an interesting piece. You could clean it up and put it on a decent strap. It would make for a nice casual/sport watch.

@@vintagesterlingfindsyeah I know what you mean. I had a Seiko removed on eBay for it being ‘fake’ (it was not it was all original). Unfortunately even if you do put that the dial is a fake or a reproduction eBay will still take it down

that was a really interesting video, I was the one who asked about the movement in the daytona fake, what I usually use for that style back is my giant hideous glob of sticky tack or a nice sized rubber ball, works every time eventually

They seem to work ok not great. Very sticky, and it starts and stops. The movement feels cheap. The back is crazy on. I can’t even budge it

What a pile of utter junk. Probably the best use for these would be as fishing sinkers but some of those are so light they would float in water and others would just simply dissolve! 😅

What's your thoughts on listings that offer the authenticity guarantee as an option? Are they safer? Does it tell you anything about the sellers confidence?

I believe it’s only for shoes right now. I like it, as it makes buyers feel safer. That eBay will check the items. I feel it’s a good thing. And I hope eBay brings it for watches soon

I looked quick. None are Swiss movements so I lean on fake. On says japan on the dial. Not sure if they ever made them with Japanese movements

Gucci makes cheap watches. They may not be fake. I’m pretty sure Gucci doesn’t use a Swiss movement. Clothing brands make cheaper watches. When you see a battery it just means it’s quartz.

You’re getting a lot of views on this video! Back before 2008 people would get these beautiful mechanical fakes deep in the China markets. 13 bucks Would get you a beautiful fake watch of any kind. My favorite was the frank Mueller crazy hand watch. Completely mechanical and the watch hand would jump randomly too a different time because the numbers are all mixed up. Hard to explain unless you’ve actually seen one. Thanks for showing the collection.

Sounds like the Daytona is to good for the flipper to flip, I have one white gold for occasions and my everyday watch is a G-Shock with biometrics. If anyone is going to find a Daytona it’s probably going to be you.👍

Not every quartz movement is made in China or Japan. ETA quartz & Ronda quartz movements were often used by many high end brands, including Omega, Gucci, Tag, Cartier..etc. FWIW Swatch Group owns many of them except for Rolex & Cartier.

I ultimately purchase the entire box when they close the business or tire of the box sitting around. Still have a bunch to sell off. For anyone who might get into small time watch collecting stay away from designer brand watches. Never waste your money on Hugo Boss, Armani, Gucci, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger etc. watches. Those watches are made for pennies on the dollar. Likely all made in China.
