I love listening to your descriptions of these books. I'm excited for Dungeon Crawler Carl, my online group just started a book club and that is the book we are kicking off with in December. Can't wait! I was in a very similar dark place earlier this year as well, I'm glad you have made it out the other side and are sharing your passion for reading. 💗💗

I love that you split this into genres. I find it interesting to see if it's the same things or different things that will push a book to the most loved spot in different genres. You know, like is what makes a Science fiction book great for a person the same sort for thing that makes a romance great or are the criteria totally different. Anyway, great video.

Something I forgot to mention in my previous comment... not sure if you enjoy listening to audio books but Dungeon Crawler Carl is an absolute must in audio form with Jeff Hayes narrating. It transforms the book in a way you can't imagine. He uploads some snippets of his recording to KZbin if you want an example.

I also have Ehlers Danlos!! Although it can present differently in different people and isn't just about unstable joints. 💜 Lovely to see a 🦓patient in a book. It is chronically under diagnosed by doctors unfortunately. Hopefully the book raises awareness. There are also associated conditions (comorbidities). It took me 24 years to get diagnosed which is hideous. Doctors need to do more for EDS&Co. Because if you try and treat my body as a doctor, without factoring in EDS &Co, you won't help and you could even make me worse! xx

I borrowed Fourth Wing from the library on your recommendation, it’s not the kind of book I typically read but I thoroughly enjoyed it. As soon as I’d finished it I borrowed the second book in the series, enjoyed that too and because I don’t want to wait on the library getting a copy I’ve preordered the next in the series. Thank you! You have encouraged me to widen my book choices and having just enjoyed Red Rising I’m very glad you did.

I loved Hidden Pictures, currently reading his new book now. Some recs for you in the Fantasy section: Robin Hobb's The Farseer Trilogy, book 1 is The Assassin's Apprentice. I was bereft when I finished the last of her books set in the Farseer world lol Also I used to Only read physical books and ended up with a kindle, once you get a magnetic cover on so you can open and close like a physical book there really is no going back.

I loved fourth wing to. For me this year though wolf songs been my favourite! I loaned it on the library’s audiobook and made the mistake of listening to it in public. It made me cry so much. The authors written it as I could imagine a wolf talking, the magic systems really clever and the characters despite being wolfs/wiches/other worldly are so relatable.
